Job Description

Company Overview:
Cohere Health is illuminating healthcare for patients, their doctors, and everyone involved in a patient’s healthcare experience. Founded in August 2019, we are obsessed with eliminating wasteful friction patients and doctors face in areas unrelated to health and treatment—particularly for diagnoses requiring expensive procedures or medications. We build software designed to ensure the appropriate plan of care is understood and quickly approved, enabling patients and doctors to focus on health rather than administrative hassles.

Opportunity Overview:
We are seeking an experienced business operator with expertise in value-based care and inpatient care to lead clinical solution execution for a focused portfolio of clients. By leveraging trusted client relationships, cross-functional collaboration, and a business owner mindset, the Clinical Success Manager ensures that clinical programs and products meet client needs across various clinical specialties. This individual also closely monitors performance and takes proactive measures to help clients achieve clinical and business objectives in value-based care environments.

The Clinical Success Manager deeply understands the unique needs of clients operating in value-based care and inpatient care settings, engaging frequently to ensure satisfaction and the delivery of impactful clinical solutions. They play a critical role in retaining clients, developing tactical plans and roadmaps, and collaborating with teams across Cohere, including Clinical Programs, Product, Operations, Strategic Accounts, and Analytics. As the clinical lead for new client launches, they identify opportunities to maximize value and evangelize Cohere’s impact on patients and providers through case studies and other initiatives.

This role directly contributes to Cohere’s growth, success, and ability to improve patient outcomes during critical moments in their healthcare journey.

Last but not least: People who succeed here are empathetic teammates who are candid, kind, caring, and embody our core values and principles. We believe that diverse, inclusive teams make the most impactful work. Cohere is deeply invested in ensuring that we have a supportive, growth-oriented environment that works for everyone.

Why You Should Apply:
If you are a data-driven leader with experience in value-based care and inpatient care, a bias for action, and a high EQ for understanding client needs, this role is for you. You see your portfolio as your own small business, value collaboration, and have a proven ability to drive performance improvements. You are a great communicator, adept at tailoring messages to various audiences, including clients, colleagues, and executive leadership.

Cohere thrives on empathy, diversity, and inclusivity. Our supportive, growth-oriented environment is designed to bring out the best in everyone.

What You Will Do:

  • Understand Client Needs: Develop a deep understanding of clinical and business needs specific to value-based care and inpatient care settings for a focused client portfolio.

  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor and report operational performance for client solutions, proactively addressing gaps.
  • Clinical Roadmaps: Collaborate with Clinical Programs and Clinical Products to develop tactical plans to achieve client goals, including medical expense savings and inpatient efficiency improvements.
  • New Launches: Serve as the clinical lead for new client launches, including writing business plans for executive approval.
  • Insight Sharing: Provide client insights cross-functionally to inform new solution development, particularly in value-based and inpatient care.
  • Account Growth: Collaborate with the Growth team to identify and execute account expansion opportunities.
  • Evangelize Success: Highlight the positive impact Cohere delivers through case studies, white papers, and marketing initiatives.

Your Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of value-based care, inpatient care, healthcare trends, and provider/patient needs.
  • Expertise in professional client service and building trusted relationships.
  • Strong business ownership mindset with a proactive approach.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presence, including proficiency in leading high-level meetings.
  • Ability to build and leverage cross-functional relationships in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Your Background & Requirements:

  • Experience: 8–12 years of experience in client service or business operations roles within health tech, healthcare consulting, health plans, or other risk-bearing entities. Experience in value-based care and inpatient care settings is essential.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, MPH, or other relevant graduate degree preferred.
