Job Description

Our Opportunity:

The Inbound Technology team is seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager. This role will be pivotal in delivering impactful, scalable solutions that enhance our inbound operations and logistics capabilities. As a TPM, you’ll work at the intersection of engineering, data, and business to lead product development from conception through execution. You will help drive initiatives such as launching Yard Management Systems, Labor Planning Enhancements, Receipt Scheduling, and more, while shaping future roadmaps. You will provide the tools, processes and data insights that contribute to our collective mission to be the most trusted and convenient destination for pet parents (and partners) everywhere.

In this role, you will work closely with software engineers, data scientists, FC operations Team Members, and product leaders to build large-scale solutions, scientifically reinvent processes, help us understand the needs of our customers, and accelerate data-driven decision making. You will be driving a broad roadmap of projects that may span multiple steps in the product lifecycle including product conceptualization (white papers), development execution, and data pipelines and downstream analysis (dashboards, A/B experiments, etc.). The ideal candidate is a strong technical product leader with a background in product management, process optimization, and analytics. They effectively work backwards from the customer (both external and internal) and build scalable and durable solutions. They are comfortable dealing with ambiguity and can break down complex problems into actionable tasks and roadmaps.  They also have the collaborative skills to lead cross-functional teams, balance tough trade-offs, and align priorities across business, product, and tech teams. Does this sound like you? If so, we would love to hear from you! Come join the Pack!

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive Technical Solutions: Collaborate closely with engineering teams to understand, describe, and contribute to the design of scalable technical solutions.
  • Translate Business Needs: Convert business requirements into system-level specifications and actionable work items; assess feasibility and estimate effort.
  • Lead with Clarity: Clearly communicate product vision, priorities, and status updates to partners, tailoring messages to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Align Teams to Strategy: Ensure product work aligns with enterprise objectives and key results, helping teams prioritize to deliver maximum business value.
  • Deliver Results: Drive program and project delivery through an Agile workflow.
  • Enable Data-Driven Decisions: Partner with collaborators to collect and analyze data, measuring impact and informing future prioritization.
  • Build Trust & Collaboration: Foster an environment of open communication, active feedback, and mutual accountability within and across teams.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business), related technical field or equivalent work experiences.
  • 5+ years experience in technical product management or similar experience managing cross functional projects and balancing product/business requirements with technical constraints.
  • Strong analytical skills and technical skills in SQL and Advanced Excel, with the ability to pull data and use it to identify and solve ambiguous problems.
  • Ability to abstract complex subjects and communicate with audiences of varying levels of leadership and technical background.
  • Ability to drive prioritization, resolve blockers, and course-correct with urgency and focus.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills with a willingness to debate priorities openly and constructively.
  • Strong business, operational, and technical vision.
