Cedar
Sr. Manager, Integration Support Engineering
Job Description
Our healthcare system is the leading cause of personal bankruptcy in the U.S. Every year, over 50 million Americans suffer adverse financial consequences as a result of seeking care, from lower credit scores to garnished wages. The challenge is only getting worse, as high deductible health plans are the fastest growing plan design in the U.S.
Cedar’s mission is to leverage data science, smart product design and personalization to make healthcare more affordable and accessible. Today, healthcare providers still engage with its consumers in a “one-size-fits-all” approach; and Cedar is excited to leverage consumer best practices to deliver a superior experience.
The Role
Cedar is seeking a Sr. Manager of Integration Support Engineering to lead the transformation of our Integration Support Engineering team into a high-impact, cross-stack Escalations group. This role is ideal for a technically adept, operationally strong leader who thrives at the intersection of client support, engineering, and incident response.
This is a strategic leadership position focused on broadening the team’s scope beyond integrations, evolving Cedar’s incident management processes, and partnering closely with internal stakeholders to improve how we identify, communicate, and resolve complex issues impacting our clients.
In this position you will:
- Lead a team of technical specialists responsible for triaging and investigating the most complex escalations across Cedar’s product and integration surfaces.
- Partner cross-functionally to evolve and operate a best-in-class incident management process, with a focus on cross-functional communication and commercial team engagement.
- Cultivate a culture of root cause analysis and investigative ownership, equipping the team to serve as the front line of escalation for high-priority client issues.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Client Management and Support to surface patterns in escalations and identify opportunities for long-term improvements.
- Use data to prioritize chronic issues, track performance, and guide decision-making on how and where we direct investment.
- Support Cedar’s shift toward more standardized, scalable integration practices, while maintaining strong support for existing complex configurations.
What we look for in an ideal candidate:
- Strong technical aptitude—you can understand and guide teams through deep technical problems even if you’re not writing code.
- Proven operational leader with a track record of shaping cross-functional processes and driving change management across teams
- Excellent cross-functional communicator, capable of aligning technical and commercial stakeholders around shared goals and response strategies.
- Passionate about problem-solving and root cause analysis, with a bias for clarity, prioritization, and action.
- Experience working in or with B2B SaaS, healthcare tech, or other complex, integration-heavy environments.
Comfortable leading a remote team and operating in a fast-paced, high-ownership culture.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
