Brief Overview:
We’re seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to play a key role in designing and implementing quality healthcare solutions and drive technical excellence. This role requires a hands-on leader who can design and implement scalable solutions, mentor engineers, and enforce best practices in software development. You’ll work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and engineers to build high-quality, innovative applications. The ideal candidate has a strong background in architecture, coding, and team leadership and is passionate about delivering robust, scalable solutions.
Core Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and high-performance software solutions.
- Guide and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and engineers, to define and deliver project requirements.
- Drive best practices in coding, testing, and deployment to ensure high code quality and efficiency.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve development processes.
- Oversee system architecture decisions and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring system reliability and performance.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with Ruby, TypeScript or other high-level language
- 3+ years working with enterprise applications hosted in AWS, production application experience strongly preferred
- 3+ years leading a software development team in a senior engineer capacity
- Experience building in a microservice/DevOps environment.
- Experience with container-based deployments
- Experience building multiple levels of automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) to ensure high quality code delivery.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or DynamoDB
- Preferred: Experience supporting longer lived existing code bases
- Preferred: Experience troubleshooting application issues in a production environment and ability to respond to after-hours outages as required
- Nice to have: Experience with Terraform
- Healthcare experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Google CDR is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication, teamwork and leadership skills
- Experience with Agile methodology

The typical base salary range for this position is $153000- $210000. The actual salary offer will ultimately depend on multiple factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, relevant education, experience, complexity or specialization of talent, and other objective factors. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus based on a combination of company performance and employee performance. Long-term incentive and short-term variable compensation may be offered as part of the compensation package dependent on the role. Some roles may be commission based, in which case the total compensation will be based on a commission and the above range may not be an accurate representation of total compensation.
