Wentworth Institute of Technology – Accelerate’s Rapid Pitch

Come support some of Wentworth’s innovators, creators, and entrepreneurs as they pitch their business ideas at Accelerate’s Rapid Pitch competition! We’ll kick off the night hearing different students pitch, followed by a Q&A from our judges. Directly afterwards, audience members are invited to walk around, network, meet the entrepreneurs at their designated tables, hear more about what they’re building, and give them additional feedback! Light refreshments will be served.

What is Rapid Pitch?

At Accelerate, we want to inspire the exploration of innovation and entrepreneurship by encouraging students to talk about, pursue, and grow their ideas. One of the ways we do that is through Rapid Pitch.

Rapid Pitch was designed to give students the opportunity to present their ideas and prototypes to an audience and guest judges. Participants selected give a 5-minute pitch for the chance to receive up to $500 to use for proof-of-concept and validation of their ideas. By participating, they also get the opportunity to receive feedback, expand their network, meet other innovators and entrepreneurs on campus, and practice pitching.

Rapid Pitch is different from other startup competitions in that it doesn’t have a single winner, so participants are not competing against one another. Instead, each of them have a chance to receive a cash prize to be used towards the development of their product or service.
