About the Role
This is not a role for someone who manages winning against brand kpis or who manages in a silo. It is for a dynamic, team player; someone who has hands-on channel experience, who loves & is accountable for the numbers and execution for all paid digital channels. Someone with experience running internal teams, agencies & a hybrid model and someone who is going to help drive significant, scalable growth. You will own the full performance digital portfolio across paid search, paid social, display, video, affiliate, and emerging channels, while partnering with Offline, SEO, Analytics, Brand, Creative, Content, Ecom, PR & Product to create cohesive acquisition operations that drive cost efficient growth.
You will manage a significant media budget with a clear mandate: cost effectively grow our customer base (hit/beat our plans!)
What You Will Own
Growth strategy and channel execution. You inherit a digital performance marketing mix & targets across Spend, Systems, CPA, and cost-per-subscriber. You will continue to optimize, grow & run the portfolio; You will help get the most out of each channel, as well as the portfolio – you will be ingrained in the current data, tool & reporting sets to help you & the team do their job, plus help enhance them all. And you will be passionate & drive a rigorous testing & learning roadmap.
In-house & Agency leadership. You will be a hands-on player-coach with our talented team Also, you will continue to utilize our embedded agency partnership to drive bigger, faster, stronger efficient growth. That means establishing clear performance expectations, accountability, building productive working rhythms,ensuring the agency continues to work as an extension of the internal team rather vs a separate function, but that our internal specialists continue to be accountable & take ownership of their channel & numbers.
Creative and conversion optimization. Working closely with our ACQ Teammates, Brand, Creative, Ecom, & Product teams to help you drive your performance testing roadmap (across creatives, landing pages, etc.) You will establish a test-and-learn roadmap that runs continuously across creative, copy, audience targeting, and page performance.
Data, attribution, and reporting. You will maintain deep visibility into channel performance, attribution modeling including multi-touch and media mix approaches, and data pipelines. You will deliver clear, actionable performance readouts to executive leadership that connect digital activity to business outcomes.
Team development. You will lead, mentor, and grow an in-house team of channel managers, growth marketers, and analysts. You will create an environment where accountability and transparency are the baseline.
What We Are Looking For
- At least eight years of hands on multi-channel digital performance marketing experience, managing a portfolio of digital and unique channels.
- Five or more years leading performance channel specialists
- You love to work in a team environment. You love collaborations, co-creating & different opinions, it’s not about “who’s idea” it was, it’s about the right ideas, execution & accountability for the team.
- You bring hands-on fluency in Search, Social, Affiliate, Video, Display, ROF and you keep pace with how those channels are evolving.
- A background in D2C subscription, e-commerce, or a similarly considered-purchase environment where customer education is part of the acquisition journey.
- Strong at owning internal business targets & in-channel platform targets. Ability to use the data to storytell (1:1, with the team, in a deck, meetings, etc.) how performance is going, what’s working, what isn’t & best next steps.
- Strong business KPI acumen (CPA, CAC, LTV:CAC, Payback, Churn, etc.) and media channel KPI's (CPC, CTR, cATC, CVR, Engagement, etc).
- Highly analytical, you love a spreadsheet, plus experienced with attribution modeling and web analytics platforms, and capable of translating complex performance data into clear business narrative for executive and cross-functional audiences.
- Proficient / experienced with tools such as MS Office/Google Workplace, slack, Tableau, Hex, Invoca, Innovid, Media Platforms (Google, Meta, iSpot, Impact, etc.)
- Creative intuition to know what moves a modern consumer, not just what the data says after the fact.
- Bonus: Knowledge of Offline channels & SEO.
Experience managing or structuring agency relationships is important in this role. If you have inherited a new agency partnership and shaped it into a high-performing one, that experience will translate directly.

The target annual base pay range for this role is $167,700 to $223,600
This target annual base pay range represents our good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this role. We use a market-based compensation approach to set our target annual base pay ranges and make adjustments annually. We carefully tailor individual compensation packages, including base pay, taking into consideration employees’ job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and other relevant business factors.
