What we need

The Quality Management System (QMS) Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a scalable, audit-ready quality management system across the network, ensuring compliance with food safety, regulatory, and certification requirements while supporting operational excellence and site launches.

Exol* is pioneering fulfillment as-a-service, offering outsourced warehousing operations and specializing in automated warehousing solutions. Our focus is on the efficient movement of goods in cases and pallets across all sectors, such as CPG, food and beverage, wholesale, and retail.

What you’ll do

  • Own and continuously improve the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) across all sites, ensuring consistent, scalable, and audit-ready processes

  • Lead food safety and quality compliance programs, including SQF, GMP, QAI Organic, and related regulatory and customer requirements

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all quality and compliance matters, including regulatory inspections, customer audits, and third-party certification bodies

  • Plan, execute, and oversee internal audit programs, ensuring timely closure of findings through disciplined CAPA management

  • Drive certification readiness and successful outcomes for external audits, assessments, and renewals across the network

  • Develop, maintain, and control QMS documentation in alignment with regulatory and certification standards (e.g. SQF, ISO)

  • Establish and track quality performance metrics, creating dashboards and reporting that provide visibility to trends, risks, and improvement opportunities

  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Safety, and Startup to embed quality requirements into processes, systems, and site launches

  • Identify quality risks proactively and lead corrective and preventive actions to reduce non-conformances and improve operational consistency

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in quality, food safety, or compliance roles within warehouse, logistics, or distribution environments

  • Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining food safety and quality systems such as SQF, GMP, QAI Organic, etc.

  • Direct experience supporting and leading external audits and inspections, including serving as a primary point of contact

  • Strong working knowledge of QMS fundamentals, including document control, internal audits, CAPA management, and certification readiness

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Safety, and Startup teams to embed quality requirements into daily operations

  • Experience supporting multi-site or network-level quality programs (preferred)

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or ISO-aligned quality management systems (preferred)

  • Relevant certifications such as SQF Practitioner, PCQI, HACCP, or ISO Lead Auditor (preferred)

Our Environment

  • Travel could be up to 50% of the time. Employee must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations

  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis

  • Ability to walk/stand for extended periods, climb stairs/ladders, and tolerate warehouse environmental conditions (temperature variations, noise, etc.)
