The Strategy and Positioning Specialist plays a key role in supporting the development and execution of sales enablement and go-to-market initiatives for Liaison’s products and services. This role combines analytical thinking, project support, market intelligence, and creativity to help strengthen Liaison’s competitive positioning and long-term growth strategy. The Strategy and Positioning Specialist assists with cross- functional teams to gather the necessary data and insights to inform the development of the appropriate messaging and compelling narratives to enhance Liaison’s brand perception and competitive advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Go-to-Market (GTM) and Product Positioning and Messaging: Regularly assist in the development of product positioning and messaging for Liaison for new products and refinement of existing products to address market changes and dynamics.
- Market Research: Utilize market analysis, competitor research, and customer segmentation to identify any trends or messaging to uniquely position Liaison’s products and services.
- Product Expertise: Develop an expert grasp of Liaison’s products, buyers, institutions’ needs, and how Liaison compares against competition.
- Messaging & Positioning: Develop clear, compelling messaging and product narratives that communicate differentiation and resonate with target audiences.
- Content Development: Partner with content and design teams to produce appropriate product-related materials.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the product team to understand the roadmap and translate technical details into customer-facing benefits.
- Company-Wide Support: Support the wider Liaison offices for support at events, webinars, trainings, etc. as needed.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field
- Strong understanding on conducting market research, competitive analysis and customer segmentation in the higher education space
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects in a face paced environment
- Creative thinker with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
