The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Description

This position requires at least 2 days in the office, with additional days based on workload, as well as occasional travel for events.

As a member of the Global Brand and Communications team, you will leverage your technical expertise to lead and support video and event productions tailored to specific groups of internal and external audiences.

When supporting projects, you will be working across the Enterprise Creative departments as part of a broader Global Brand & Communications team. Your primary responsibility will be assisting Production team members with large, complex video and live event productions which may include tasks like operation and maintenance of equipment, logistics coordination, on-site support, stock footage identification, media management, postproduction archiving, video editing and more. Additional responsibilities include liaising between Production leads and various outside vendors to drive on-budget work and coordinating videographers, sound recordists, staging companies, and freelance crews.

When leading project work, the responsibilities of this role will include video pre-production logistics, coordinating shooting, editing, as well as live, virtual and hybrid events produced on Zoom, in boardrooms, conference centers, Liberty’s onsite studio, ballrooms, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Support Production team leads on large-scale projects and initiatives via hands-on operation of video systems and software related to studio and location productions.
  • Learn and apply new technologies to improve production capabilities.
  • Independently plan, execute and manage video and event productions. This includes execution of the following activities: development, pre-production, location selection, directing talent, and music selection.
  • Communicate with internal clients to determine project objectives and needs and recommend appropriate production techniques to ensure objectives are met.
  • Contract and coordinate the activities of outside vendors hired for video and event productions.
  • Create and submit budget options for projects for approvals. Track expenses against budget, monitor and inform manager of budget issues and plan appropriate adjustments.
  • Participate in departmental initiatives to improve company video and event productions across multiple platforms.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of media equipment, computer graphic applications programs, lighting systems, computer projection equipment, audio production equipment and digital video production tools depending upon the specific application
  • Must possess a wide range of decision-making skills for the purpose of tracking production timelines, responding to quality issues, and tracking budgets
  • Ability and willingness to learn new and emerging technologies
  • Effective oral and written communication skills needed to determine and interpret customer and department needs, and comfort/ability to communicate with all levels including executives
  • Experience conducting business partner needs assessment, project planning, and execution
  • Must demonstrate high level of initiative with minimum supervision
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of relevant experience with a background in a corporate environment preferred
  • Ability & willingness to travel
