Veracode Company Overview

Sam King is the Chief Executive Officer of Veracode and a recognized expert in cybersecurity, the emerging practice of DevSecOps and business management. As a founding member of the Veracode team, Sam helped lead the establishment and growth of the application security category working with industry experts and analysts. In her current role, Sam is focused on company growth and helping customers achieve their missions through the creation of secure software. Prior to Veracode, Sam held leadership positions in cybersecurity and technology companies including Verisign and Razorfish. In addition to security and technology, Sam is also passionate about developing leaders and creating positive work environments that foster creativity and personal growth.

Sam received her Masters of Science and Engineering in Computer and Information Science from University of Pennsylvania. She earned her BS in Computer Science from University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, where she earned the prestigious Charles Babbage Award, awarded to the student with the highest academic achievement in the graduating class. She currently sits on the board of Progress Software.

Chris Wysopal is Chief Technology Officer at Veracode. He oversees technology strategy and information security. Prior to co-founding Veracode in 2006 Veracode, Chris was vice president of research and development at security consultancy @stake, which was acquired by Symantec.

In the 1990’s, Chris was one of the original vulnerability researchers at The L0pht, a hacker think tank, where he was one of the first to publicize the risks of insecure software. He has testified to the US Congress on the subjects of government security and how vulnerabilities are discovered in software.

Chris received a BS in computer and systems engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is the author of The Art of Software Security Testing.

Chris is often called upon to download the latest Minecraft mods for his 6-year-old son. An avid photographer and nature-lover, Chris spends his free time hiking the many conservation trails near his home outside Boston.

Elana Anderson is Chief Marketing Officer. She heads Veracode’s global marketing, branding, and communications programs to help the company achieve its growth strategy. Anderson’s marketing background spans nearly three decades as a marketing executive, industry analyst, and consultant working with Fortune 500 B2C and B2B enterprises. Notably, Anderson led global marketing for SaaS e-commerce leader Demandware which was acquired by Salesforce in 2016 for nearly $3 billion. Anderson also served as Vice President of Strategy and Products at marketing technology provider Unica acquired by IBM in 2011. From 2002 – 2007, Anderson was a sought after marketing thought leader at Forrester Research where she built and led the marketing practice and focused her own research agenda on customer relationship strategies, customer analytics, and marketing technology.

David Forlizzi is Chief Financial Officer. He is responsible for overseeing Veracode’s global financial organization and corporate development function. Forlizzi has extensive experience leading financial strategy in both private and publicly traded companies along with expertise in helping high-growth software companies pursue their market strategy globally. A Certified Public Accountant, Forlizzi was previously the Chief Financial Officer at Infovista for 11 years, where he led the finance, legal and IT departments. He has also held accounting and leadership positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Boston and Europe and served as an advisor for software and technology companies on their financial, growth and business strategies. Mr. Forlizzi graduated from Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy.

Pejman Pourmousa is Vice President of Services at Veracode, where he is responsible for the successful adoption of Veracode’s solutions by its customers. This includes program management, customer success, security consulting, manual penetration testing and customer support. Pejman has spent the last seven years building cohesive teams that help customers develop, deploy and mature their App Sec programs. Using his depth of experience, he guides top leaders of organizations on how to fully realize the potential of their application security programs.

Pejman has spent the entirety of his career in the area of services management and delivery specifically around Compliance, Risk and Security. Prior to Veracode he was a Manager of Client Services at Integrity Interactive (acquired by SAI Global) where he led the team responsible for the delivery of Compliance and Risk solutions across SAI Global’s client base.

Pejman holds a Bachelors from Brandeis University in Business, History and Secondary Education. Pejman enjoys time with his family and friends and watching New England sports teams.

Mike serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Customer Officer of Sales and Services for Veracode and is responsible for global sales growth including both the direct and channel sales teams. 

A seasoned veteran of the software industry, Mike has spent more than two decades establishing rapid growth programs for a wide range of companies, most recently serving in senior vice president of sales roles for software quality solutions company SmartBear, and cybersecurity providers Bromium and Sophos. Earlier in his career, Mike also served as PTC’s head of sales, helping the company to triple its revenue in four years. His executive experience also includes stints as CEO of technology companies NuGenesis and PanGo Networks.

Mike is a graduate of Fairfield University where he served on the board of trustees from 2000 to 2012. In his spare time he is an avid cyclist and snowboarder.

Paiman Nodoushani has more than 25 years of experience leading complex and diverse engineering teams in both small and large companies. Paiman has spent the last seven years building cohesive teams that deliver Cloud/SaaS based solutions. He has depth of experience successfully integrating acquisitions and fully realizing the potential of acquired technologies.

Prior to joining Veracode, Paiman was the VP of engineering at Monotype, a $1 billion market cap company where he led a large geographically dispersed engineering team in building enterprise class products with focus on SaaS and Cloud. Previously, he was the VP of engineering at Layer3TV, and CTO and VP engineering and data center operations at Continuum Managed Service.

Paiman has BS and MS from University of Connecticut. He has served on the Board of Trustees for the Mass Technology Council, the Habitat for Humanity, and the Mass Network Communications Council. Paiman is an avid runner and passionate about soccer. He plays both outdoor and indoor throughout the year.

Catherine Reid is Chief Human Resource Officer at Veracode, responsible for leading the company’s HR strategy, mission, values and service delivery across the organization.

She brings more than 15 years of experience in developing and executing talent management strategies and managing complex human resource operations in global organizations. She was most recently the Head of Human Resources for EBSCO Information Services and previously held HR leadership positions with Thomson Reuters in London, Boston and Washington D.C. Prior to that, Catherine was HR Manager for LM Ericsson in Dublin and worked as a Compensation and Benefits Consultant for Mercer. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity College Dublin and a Master of Business from University College Dublin.

Dawn Rogers is General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. She leads Veracode’s legal function and in her role as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Rogers supports Veracode’s commercial efforts as the company expands its business in North America and internationally and provides oversight and support on matters related to corporate governance, compliance and intellectual property management. In addition to bringing more than 15 years of experience in legal roles, Rogers is certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals as a CIPP/E and a CIPM, and will guide Veracode on its compliance efforts. Rogers joined Veracode from Monotype, a font technology and design asset company, where she was Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, Americas and Asia Pacific. Prior to Monotype, she held legal counsel roles at Autodesk and Moldflow Corporation. Rogers earned her B.S from Emerson College and her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School.
