Vote Now For the January 2019 Winner of the VentureFizz Spark Award!

Last month, we held the second installment of our brand new initiative to recognize the most innovative companies in New York tech. We opened it to nominations, held a vote, and one company—Tomorrow Lab—ended up on top.

Once again, this month we held nominations for companies, and you came up with a great selection for us to ultimately pick five finalists from. Those finalists are: Simon Data, AdInMo, Enertiv, Custora, and Skyhour.

You can vote using the form below. Voting ends Friday, 1/18, at 5 p.m. ET.

The winner will be profiled in a video interview which will be featured on VentureFizz at the end of the month and they will also get a free 6-month BIZZpage subscription to help out with their hiring plans!

Additional info about each company is provided below.

*** Voting has now closed!  We'll announce the winner on Monday, January 28th. Thanks to all who voted!

Enertiv

Enertiv is a real estate technology company that transforms building data into asset value. Our platform streamlines building operations by digitizing the physical infrastructure of commercial real estate portfolios.

Nomination Note: "In addition to launching the first VR technology that embeds real-time data in commercial real estate, Enertiv has built a comprehensive platform in a market where the customer usually has to patch together a handful of point solutions."

AdInMo

AdInMo is a mobile in-game native brand engagement platform.

Nomination Note: "AdInMo is an in-game advertising platform for eSports, AR, VR and mobile games. The unique AdInMo ad inventory bridges the gap between entertainment and native advertising. AdInMo are part of NYC-based startup accelerator Acceleprise."

Simon Data

Simon Data is an enterprise marketing technology platform that helps marketing and data teams unlock insights, deliver personalized content, and orchestrate digital experience across channels.

Nomination Note: "Simon Data has an incredibly innovative platform and a great team. They raised $20M last year and they have been seeing tremendous growth. Definitely a company with a very bright future ahead."

Custora

Custora, the leading cloud-based retail customer analytics platform, helps retailers drive incremental revenue and lifetime value by making better use of their customer data.

Nomination Note: "They have continued to innovate in the eCommerce space and have a platform that just works!"

Skyhour

Skyhour is the easiest way to give and receive air travel.

Nomination Note: "I think Skyhour deserves to be recognized for the VentureFizz Spark Award because when there was no product or service on the market that would allow Fernando Camara to surprise his travel-loving friend with a flight without her information and preferences, he created one. Before Skyhour, there was no way to purchase flights for another person (or yourself) that didn’t have airline restrictions, blackout dates, or hidden fees.

Fernando connected with his friend and tech entrepreneur, David Nogueira, to launch Skyhour in October 2017 after two years of incorporating customer feedback and generating investor support (Skyhour is backed by JetBlue Ventures, as well as others). Today, Skyhour is the first of its kind air travel platform, offering an easy, smart and inspiring way to carry an air travel balance, give Skyhours, set #TravelGoals and book flights worldwide on 350+ airlines – all in under a minute.

Instead of fighting for market share, Skyhour is expanding the travel industry by diverting revenue from the $140 billion gift card industry, giving airlines and other travel companies revenue from a completely new source.

One Skyhour equals one hour of real flight time at a fixed rate of $60 per hour. Users can log into the app or website and only need an email address and U.S. credit/debit card to purchase. Perfect for the majority of people who prefer experiences over things, Skyhour is encouraging people to get out there and experience the world."
