Vote Now For the First Winner of the VentureFizz Spark Award!

Last week, we told you all about the Spark Award, our new initiative to recognize the companies that people are talking about in the New York tech ecosystem.

We opened it up for nominations, and you most certainly delivered! You came up with a number of companies all worthy of recognition, and from your list, we came up with five companies to compete for the chance to become the first winner of the VentureFizz Spark Award!

Those companies are: Bowery Farming, Mineful, Rally, SevenRooms, and SPARK Neuro.

You can vote using the form below. Voting ends Friday, 11/16, at 5 p.m. ET.

Bowery Farming

Bowery is the modern farming company growing the purest produce imaginable.

Mineful is a B2B SaaS product that enables web applications, developers, and sites to monetize users by utilizing their unused computing power to generate cryptocurrency.

Nomination Note" They are creating a completely revolutionary form of payment—one's spare computing power. Mineful takes excess computing power on your laptop/desktop/etc. and uses it to mine cryptocurrency. This is then used pay for premium services (e.g. Spotify Premium, Slack, etc.). In sum, Mineful is attempting to create the world's largest decentralized computer while providing one of many people's first touch-points with cryptocurrency.

Rally Bus

Rally is crowd-powered travel. Their technology connects people who are going to the same place, then delivers high-end buses to get them there and back. 

Nomination Note: "They disrupted the charter bus industry and have become the "Uber of buses" by connecting thousands of riders traveling to the same destination. Fun fact: They transported over 50,000 people to DC for the Women’s March."

Nomination Note: "As a leader in the restaurant technology sector for seven years, SevenRooms has tirelessly built operator-first tools that make better service easier. Their best-in-class reservation, seating and guest management platform enables operators to create and cultivate meaningful, direct relationships with guests that make exceptional experiences possible. In 2.5 years, the company has scaled from 20 to over 80 employees in New York, raising $8 million in a Series A round lead by Comcast Ventures in December 2017. Most recently, the company announced funding from Amazon's Alexa Fund, in addition to securing partnerships with Google, Instagram and Tripadvisor over the last year."
