We connected with Camilla Santos, People Operations Coordinator at Yesware to get an inside look at the company's day-to-day operations and its culture.

Can you share the details on what Yesware does?

Yesware is a sales productivity solution aimed at helping salespeople form more authentic and lasting business relationships with the right people. With Yesware,  a suite of best-in-class sales engagement

features live right in your inbox and sync immediately with your CRM, empowering professional relationship builders to invest in their reputation and the long-term success of their customers.

Who are some of your customers?

Our customers are reputation-focused salespeople and account managers. Some of our accounts include Zendesk, General Assembly, Groupon, Yelp, Brightcove, Gainsight, Classpass, Salsify, Amobee, and Encyclopedia Britannica to name a few.

What are your company’s core values or how would you best describe the culture and working environment at Yesware?

We recently led a company-wide collaborative effort to rewrite our values and we’re so proud of how they turned out because they really capture what it means to be a part of Yesware. Over a quarter, we set out to publicly recognize our coworkers for their achievements, acts of kindness, hard work, etc via a #recognition Slack channel. After breaking down the thousands of recognitions submitted we found some really strong underlying themes. Our executive team took a lot of time crafting the right words to capture those themes. After a little more collaborating across the company we are super happy to say these values are the guiding principles by which we work and how we treat one another. Between our values, our leadership, and the incredible people working here we have something pretty good going on. Our values are:

What can someone expect during the interview process?

To meet with some friendly people, for one! You will meet with members of the team you would be working on and usually a few people from other departments you’d be working with, as well. We do our best to make candidates feel comfortable and taken care of during their time here. Thoughtful office tours and genuine conversation are guaranteed!

Share one or more random fun facts:

We have a whiteboard wall that we thoroughly enjoy and utilize on and off hours. 

We are primarily digital but we still use bulletin board to share some wholesome, old-school content. Hello silly polaroids and old-fashioned shout outs!

We encourage employees to use our space for hobbies and company activities. Aside from hosting different nonprofits and local community organizations, our own employees have used our space to host things like game-nights and dance classes.

We award all employees that have worked at Yesware for 5-years a vacation stipend to spend how they see fit!

When I first started working at Yesware three years ago, one of the first things I heard from our co-founder, Matthew Bellows, was that he “wanted Yesware to be the best place [we’ve] ever worked.” As I got to know the people I worked with over the years, I certainly feel like that’s the case. I’ve always felt supported by my coworkers, both learning from them and also having the opportunity to give back as I grew as a software engineer. The perks (catered lunches, in-office pub, unlimited vacation, and more) are all nice too, but for me, what really sets Yesware from the rest of the pack is the people I’ve met here.
