Can you share the details on what mabl does?
mabl helps software teams ship higher-quality software faster. We’ve built a platform that enables developers and testers to create automated tests in a fraction of the time vs. legacy tools while mabl’s analytics help save teams time from maintaining those tests. Ultimately, software teams are more efficient while their customers are happier.
Who are some of your customers?
Some of our innovative customers include Dollar Shave Club, Charles Schwab, Digitas, and ADP.
How would you best describe the culture and working environment at mabl?
The culture at mabl is genuine without ego. When you join mabl, you’re joining a supportive team of smart, funny, and authentic individuals, who believe in each other and in the vision of the company. We’re also a team without titles, which makes it super easy to reach out to anyone on the team and ask questions or seek help.
Is there anything that you’d like to share in terms of promoting diversity across your company and hiring practices?
Of course! Last quarter we established a Diversity Equity and Inclusion team to help create and carry out goals related to fostering DEI at mabl. During Q4, we’ll focus on inclusion with the understanding that an inclusive culture will lead to diverse candidates feeling more welcome when they join mabl. Even with a focus on inclusion, we are still doing work to increase diversity within our pipeline. We’ve rewritten our job descriptions in ways to promote underrepresented groups to apply, we’re posting our open reqs on job boards exclusively targeted towards diverse applicants, and our team participates in diversity-focused events throughout Boston. In addition, at the end of this quarter, we’ll host a live unconscious bias training to help mitigate bias during the interview process as well as within our current team.
What’s the best way to get a job at mabl?
What can someone expect during the interview process?
In most cases, you will meet with someone from every department at mabl, as well as one co-founder, sometimes both. Since mabl is a technical product, even for non-technical roles, we’ll have an Engineer participate in on interviews to get an understanding of how passionate candidates are about technology. Pro tip: During situational questions, think about giving your interviewer a STAR answer, Situation, Task, Actions, Results.
What types of activities are employees involved in at or outside the office?
At the office, we’ve got a book club, a tea club; we’ve also got some master Cornhole players, and we just held our first mabl Fashion Week! Outside of the office, we’re a pretty active bunch. We’ve got several team members who ride bikes, some who run, row, hike, and do CrossFit. Some of us are into cars, some are into baking, some are artists, thespians, and everything in between!
