This Week in the Boston Tech Scene: Drew Houston, Intelligent.ly, Krash/Startup Institute, MITX, StartOut Boston, Amazon
Wow! There is a whole lot going on in the Boston tech scene this week, there is no way we will be able to cover all the events here. But, as always, we will try to point out some of the more interesting/most intriguing happenings going down in Cambridge, Downtown, and the Innovation District.
-Maybe the biggest event this week has flown a bit under the radar.
The MIT Enterprise Forum will be hosting Drew Houston of Dropbox for a Fireside Chat with MIT Tech Review editor Jason Pontin.
If you have tickets, awesome. If not, maybe some more will be released?
Here is some more info on the event.
-Also tonight! "How to Pitch a Perfect Presentation" with Smart Lunches' Emily Green at Intelligent.ly...Chris Brogan is at Microsoft NERD for a digital marketing talk... And a really great event tonight, StartOut Boston’s 2014 Kickoff LGBT Entrepreneurship Panel & Networking event.
- Springpad is hosting its Master Slam event once again. This time, folks from RunKeeper, Tabelist, Mobee, TripAdvisor, and uberSense will be debating the "eternal question" of iOS versus Android. The event is being held at Workbar in Cambridge and will have food and drinks and some of the brightest folks in the Boston startup scene all in one room.
For more on the event, check here.
-There are three great events on Wednesday that shouldn't be missed:
Gradeable is hosting a social get together/EdChat at the Exponential Techspace.
Intelligent.ly will be featuring Patrick Campbell, Sean Lindsay, Eric Carlstrom, Kurt Overberg for its "Chasing Unicorns- How to Find a Technical Co-Founder in Boston" class.
Krash and the Startup Institute will be doing an Eat and Greet event for you to grab some grub and drinks at Startup Institute.
-MITX is holding it e-commerce summit at Google with a ton of great speakers lined up.
-Also, Amazon is holding a happy hour at Meadhall and the Women's Coding Collective is starting a two-week "Getting Started w/ Wordpress" class.
-To finish off this busy week, there is what should be a very interesting Bitcoin Hackathon taking place at the CIC.
