Five Questions with Lital Asher-Dotan, Chief Growth Officer at Tamr

What was it about Tamr that appealed to you in terms of joining the company?

Tamr excites me because of its mission, its technology, and its team.

I am excited about how Tamr helps companies transform into data powerhouses, fully utilizing their data to drive business results. Data is expected to be a transformative asset. But the truth is that the majority of companies are still struggling to put data to work because its current form is inaccurate, dirty, or disorganized.

Joining a successful and diverse leadership team that is responsible for managing the success of Tamr was very appealing. Also, helping Tamr capitalize on companies’ growing awareness of their need for a modern solution to their data problems, presented an opportunity that was too good to pass up.

What are the details on your role as Chief Growth Officer?

As CGO, I oversee marketing and sales development at Tamr. My team is driving awareness, love, and the adoption of Tamr software and services.

We’re tasked with helping organizations understand how Tamr can help them scale their data mastering practice to drive business outcomes and making Tamr a successful, global brand.

Can you share the trends in DataOps and how does Tamr fit into the overall ecosystem?

We are seeing the emerging DataOps ecosystem in large organizations which consists of an agile, open, best of breed approach for data management and data mastering. A modern DataOps infrastructure/ecosystem consists of many of the following elements: a cloud-first approach; an acknowledgment that the data will always change and therefore requires an agile data mastering approach; an open, best-of-breed use of tools and vendors (instead of the one solution one vendor approach to solving all data management aspects); highly automated approach for data mastering.

Tamr is purpose-built to fit this approach, with its machine-learning coupled with human insight data mastering at scale tech. We are partnering with hundreds of the world’s largest organizations to help them with their day to day DataOps activities, mastering data at scale.

Are there some specific use cases or customer examples that you can share?

We are impressed with the work and related results Toyota Motors is achieving with Tamr to master their customer Data at Scale and increase the effectiveness of demand forecasting, marketing, and sales.

What's your philosophy for building and scaling a business?

The best way to make a business scale is by having happy customers share their success stories. When a company offers a great product that offers real business value coupled with outstanding customer experience, in my experience, this leads to raving fans - the best marketing vehicle and organization can hope for. In my view, investing in satisfied customers and a great customer experience is the best strategy for scaling and succeeding.
