Founded in 2007, Fitbit's popular fitness tracking devices have established the company as one of the dominant players in the wearables market.
The company's headquarters are based in San Francisco, but Fitbit also has a sizable presence in Boston.
Located in the Seaport District, Fitbit's Boston offices have scenic views of Boston Harbor. As one might expect, it's a lively culture where daily scrum meetings and team fitness activities are the norm. As you will notice, another great benefit of working at Fitbit is having early access to test out pre-released products.
Here's a fun fact: James Park (Fitbit's CEO & Co-Founder) studied Computer Science at Harvard before starting two companies in the Boston area. One of the founding engineers from his first company was Eric Friedman (Fitbit's CTO & Co-Founder). They went on to start Wind-Up Labs, which was acquired by CNET and ultimately moved the team to the West Coast before founding Fitbit.
