Can you share the details on what Evergage does?

Evergage provides the market-leading real-time personalization and customer data platform (CDP). Combining in-depth behavioral analytics with advanced machine learning, Evergage helps companies systematically understand and interact with each customer, visitor or account – one at a time, “at the moment” and at scale.

Capturing deep behavioral data – and combining it with customer information from other systems – Evergage provides a unified understanding of each customer and delivers in-the-moment personalization to billions of people worldwide. Named a Leader in Gartner’s first-ever “Magic Quadrant for Personalization Engines,” Evergage powers maximally relevant, individualized experiences across websites, email, web and mobile apps, onsite search, online ads, social media, call centers and in stores/branches.

Who are some of your customers?

Evergage’s powerful and flexible cloud-based platform enables companies across retail, financial services, technology, and other industries to improve revenue growth, demand generation, and customer success.

Companies working with Evergage to drive 1-to-1 digital engagement include Acceptance Auto Insurance, Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), Carhartt, Citrix, Endurance International Group, Lenovo, Publishers Clearing House, Rue La La, Walmart Mexico, Zumiez and many more.

What are your company’s core values or how would you best describe the culture and working environment at Evergage?

Our core values can be summarized in five key areas using the acronym EPPIC:

  • Ethics and Integrity: Our strong moral compass ensures we hold ourselves accountable for our work and our actions.

  • People: We’re collaborative, team players who exhibit leadership and take initiative.

  • Passion: We have a passion for excellence. We believe in our company’s mission to personalize the world.

  • Innovation: We tackle challenges in innovative ways and contribute new ideas.

  • Customer Focus: We put our customers at the center of everything we do.

The culture at Evergage is collaborative and supportive. We’re all striving toward the same mission, so we’re always working together to achieve our goals. And we aren’t just paying lip service to our values — we actually live them and refer to them regularly.

Is there anything that you’d like to share in terms of promoting diversity across your company and hiring practices?

Diversity is an issue across our industry, and we continue to strive to make Evergage a more diverse and inclusive tech employer. We talk about diversity, ask for feedback on how we are doing, and suggestions on how to improve. We have restructured how we interview for new positions by adding more female employees into the process, especially in departments where gender diversity has historically been an issue. We are attending and sponsoring tech events that specifically promote diversity in hiring. And we’ve taken steps to ensure the wording in our job descriptions is not unintentionally implying that any of our open positions are not meant for women or minorities.

From a big picture point of view, what experience or traits do you typically look for when interviewing and hiring new employees into Evergage?

At Evergage, our aim is to lead the industry with our personalization and customer data platform, so we want to bring in team members that will continue to push us in that direction. We’re always looking for life-long learners who are never content with the status quo.

We look for individuals that thrive in a dynamic atmosphere, with a balance of collaboration and autonomy. No one at Evergage wants to micromanage, so Evergagers need to be self-starters looking to make an impact.

They also need to be smart and fun, because we spend a lot of time together!

What’s the best way to get a job at Evergage?

We’re proud of what we’ve built and looking for people that want to be part of our mission. Be curious about what we do, who our customers are and how we’re leading the personalization and CDP landscape. Be familiar with our “EPPIC” values and share with us examples of how you match up to them!

What can someone expect during the interview process?

You will likely meet most of the team you will be a part of. We like to make interviewing a group experience and decision. You can also expect some sort of project or skill assessment. We’re not looking to quiz you about everything you know, but we want to see how you think and how you approach problems.

What can people expect over the course of their career at Evergage?

You will learn A LOT at Evergage. Every employee has a chance to contribute in a big way. We’re also always collaborating within and across departments, so you’ll get exposure to a lot of different areas of the company. You’ll also enjoy lots of free snacks and probably eat a lot of pizza (we have it most Thursdays!)

What types of activities are employees involved in at or outside the office?

There’s always a lot going on! Weekly “Winesdays” are a way for employees to catch up over wine, cheese, and crackers and chat about life outside of work. We have a run club that gets together to run each week that is just getting started for the season. Our softball team may not be breaking any records, but they always have a great time. There is always someone willing to challenge you to a game of ping pong or darts. And we have volunteer days in April and October which really bring people together while doing something good for the greater community.

Share one or more random fun facts!

We have an annual Talent Show that has become a major event our employees look forward to every year! It originated because we had several musically inclined employees that began holding random jam sessions together, so we thought we’d find a way for them to show off their skills. It is now a full production with integrated lighting, sound and a wide variety of talents. We’ve had employees do celebrity impersonations, teach us to trim a bonsai, demonstrate their boxing skills, make the perfect mojito, break boards with their martial arts training, and even had an employee produce a parody episode of The Office starring Evergagers!

Employee Testimonials

Isaac Brower, Sales Director

Evergage never stops growing and innovating. Our company culture strikes the perfect balance between working hard and having fun with each other. The constant change, exciting new challenges, and the truly “EPPIC” people have kept me here. I started at Evergage out of college as the company’s first BDR working out of Boston. Now, 5 years later, I am leading the enterprise sales efforts in New York City. Evergage has given me the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. I am more excited than ever about our future. We are building a special company and platform together.

Nikki Riser, Solutions Engineer

I’m a Solutions Engineer with previous experience as a big data analyst. I joined Evergage shortly after completing a coding boot camp, as I was set on working for a company that strongly values diversity, mutual respect, and having fun! Evergage has some of the smartest, friendliest, and most caring people I’ve ever met, and I’m really glad to be working here, building personalization campaigns for some of the biggest companies in the world! As Evergage keeps growing, there are more and more opportunities for growth and career development. I’m excited to see what lies ahead!

Ann-Margaret Belke, Senior Customer Success Manager

I was drawn to Evergage by the innovative technology, the smart people and passionate leadership throughout the organization.  A year and a half later, Evergage continues to exceed my expectations. As we expand our personalization and customer data platform solutions, this year is going to be “EPPIC.”
