SHYFT Analytics is looking for a talented, top performing Regional Vice Presidents (RVP) of sales who will be in charge of overseeing the regional sales processes for the Eastern Region based out of our Boston (Waltham) Headquarters.  The RVP will be tasked with implementing regional sales strategies to increase productivity and ensure overachievement of sales goals. They will also actively lead new account prospecting and implementing prospecting rigor to generate sales and create a predictable sales forecast. The RVP will contact new and existing customers to demonstrate the value of their company's products or services and ensure there is an excellent customer experience to increase the possibility of repeat business. To that end, the RVP of the Eastern Region will lead Account Management resources as well as sales to ensure healthy upsell value while also minimizing churn. Finally, the RVP will be the face of enterprise selling within the region to ensure the cultivation and growth of senior executive relationships and multi-faced enterprise selling cycles.


Ten plus years of experience with enterprise and mid-market selling as well as a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field is necessary for this position. In addition, previous experience in a regional sales capacity is preferred. The RVP of sales must be organized individual, pay close attention to detail especially as it relates to daily forecasting and have strong interpersonal skills to tackle sales obstacles with innovative solutions. They must be able to work in fast-paced environment and have excellent multitasking skills. The RVP must work well in a team setting to achieve all company sales objective in a timely manner, as well as perform effectively on their own with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 10+ years of B2B sales experience selling Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions and leading SaaS sales teams; ideally in pharma, SaaS is required
  • Documented track record as a manager for leader over-performance in regional or national sales
  • Experience working effectively with technical and commercial business stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Accomplished at leading lead generation and prospecting activities on a consistent (daily) basis
  • Demonstrable experience with Sandler, SPIN, Challenger, Solution and Customer Centric selling techniques.

  • Ability to travel 25-50% of the time within the US

As an Engagement Manager on the Implementation team at SHYFT, you will serve as a project team lead responsible for driving the day-to-day team activities according to plan. Position Summary

The Implementation Team is actively engaged with healthcare organizations to enable rapid synthesis of insights through the SHYFT Analytic Platform. The team is responsible for delivering an adaptive, secure and highly configurable platform, scalable to the specific needs of individual customers.

With a focus on database design and data management, you will be responsible for building robust, cloud based solutions serving the life sciences industry.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technical leader who can mentor, train, and grow the team
  • Author complex stored procedures using T-SQL
  • Develop and manage database ETL processes used to generate client deliverables
  • Design and manage database import / export processes used to generate client data warehouse deliverables
  • Database modeling and design
  • Debug and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Ongoing data warehouse maintenance, change management, and performance tuning
  • Implement and manage database backup, archive, and recovery processes  
  • Develop and maintain DTS and SSIS packages
  • Research issues and devise corrective actions
  • Assist in project planning and scheduling
  • Assist and support Solution Consultant and Business Intelligence activities
  • Able to work effectively, independently and within a collaborative team oriented environment
  • Enhance and drive existing database development practices and processes towards best practices

Position Requirements:

  • 5+ years database development experience
  • Expert level experience with Transaction SQL and MS SQL Server
  • Proven ability to design, develop and implement high-quality code in a timely manner
  • Ability to work and lead a highly talented and focused development team
  • Strong technical, estimating, design and analytical aptitude
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and problem solving skills
  • In-depth knowledge of the software development life cycle required specifically Agile methodologies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral

Education/Experience:

  • B.S./M.S. in Computer Science, MIS or other related fields and demonstrable, relevant work experience.
  • Life sciences and data analysis exposure is a plus
  • Experience with Advanced and Predictive Analytics is a plus
  • Experience with AWS DynamoDB and MapReduce or Hadoop a plus
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services is a plus
  • Experience with 3rd party reporting applications such as Cognos, and/or Spotfire is a plus.
