    We’re a diverse, fun loving group of product managers, designers, and engineers who take pride in their work and are always striving to improve.

    We do our best to minimize context switching. Wednesdays are meeting-free and recurring meetings are right before or after lunch.  Our hours are flexible and we have top notch remote employee supportfor those times you’d rather WFH.

    Our primary stack consists of Ruby and JavaScript, using Rails API, Angular, and Vue.js, backed by MySQL, ElasticSearch, MemCache, and Redis, running on AWS. Learn more about our stack on StackShare.

    We’re looking for talented devops engineer who cares deeply about their work, team, and organization.

    Expectations

    • Experience creating and managing multiple working environments in AWS/EC2
    • Strong background in Linux/Unix administration and scripting
    • Experience with automation and configuration management using Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or an equivalent
    • Source, build/release, and configuration management in a continuous integration & delivery environment
    • Experience with New Relic for application and server performance monitoring
    • Understanding of relational databases, ER modeling, and query optimization
    • Able to contribute to a growing knowledge base (design documents, troubleshooting guides, best practices, etc)
    • Willingness to mentor and be mentored

    Nice to haves

    • Experience working with one or more of the following APIs: Facebook, Salesforce
    • SAML 2.0

    Our current process is in the neighborhood of Scrumban -- two week sprints, weekly releases, no scrum master, pull from the top of the sprint backlog, daily standup at 11:30, post-sprint retros.

    About You

    We’re looking for talented engineers who care deeply about their work, team, and organization.  We’re looking for engineers with T-shaped skills -- deep knowledge in a single area, with the ability to contribute across the board.  Senior Engineers will have demonstrated a track record of working closely with stakeholders to deliver high quality features that add significant value to the product.

    Expectations

    • Work with the Product Management & User Experience teams on translating business requirements to buildable specs
    • Able to break down feature specs into their smallest logical parts, with an eye toward always shipping working software
    • Write clean, elegant, testable, easy-to-read code. DRY, SOLID, maintainable
    • Understanding of relational databases, ER modeling, and query optimization
    • Understanding of trade-offs on issues like tech debt, design patterns, performance, caching, etc.
    • Look forward to the challenge of diagnosing the most bewildering bugs
    • Able to contribute to a growing knowledge base (design documents, troubleshooting guides, best practices, etc)
    • Able to transition between going solo on small features, and working as part of a feature team on larger ones
    • Willingness to mentor and be mentored

    Nice to haves

    • AWS/EC2 - bonus points for DevOps skills
    • Facebook API - we make heavy use of the Facebook Graph and Marketing APIs

    To succeed in this role you must demonstrate a track record of successfully closing SaaS deals and be comfortable with selling marketing, mobile and/or advertising technologies to Marketing Executives at the world’s leading retail brands.     Responsibilities

    • Prospect, pursue and close new business within target market using proven sales process
    • Develop and deliver high quality presentations and customer proposals that effectively communicate Promoboxx’s solution
    • Manage sales cycles including developing and optimizing a sales pipeline, maintaining pursuit strategies focused on key decision makers, negotiating key deal terms and closing contractual agreements
    • You will own your revenue number and take personal responsibility while helping Sales Management track your pipeline and forecast.
    • You will be responsible for developing new opportunities through prospecting as well as responding to inbound leads and working alongside a dedicated Business Development Team.
    • While this role is based in our Boston HQ, it will require approximately 25% travel to meet prospects and their colleagues as well as representing Promoboxx at targeted industry events.

     

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 3 years selling complex software solutions with quota-carrying responsibility, preferably in an outside sales role.  
    • Track record of generating your own leads, building strong business relationships and closing business.
    • Highly motivated, energetic, accountable and coachable
    • Active listening skills and a genuine curiosity to uncover customer needs, understand evaluation processes while expressing financial impact and ROI
    • Effective presenting, communicating, and selling to senior level executives on the phone, via email and in person
    • Confidence and experience managing contract/legal processes
    • Outstanding communication, organization, prioritization, and time management skills as well as committed use of CRM & pipeline tools
    • Ability to travel within US and Canada

    • You have experience working with marketing and sales organizations at Fortune 1000 manufacturing brands

    The Senior Product Manager is entrepreneurial, motivated, intellectually curious, and excited to lead our efforts serving national brands and their local retailers. As a Senior Product Manager at Promoboxx, you are responsible for building the future of the Promoboxx platform, using a combination of data analysis, stakeholder inputs, and industry knowledge to identify opportunities in our market space and within our existing product portfolio.

    Responsibilities:

    • This role will manage products and features for the core brand-to-retail commerce platform as well as our Local Ads digital advertising platform
    • Effectively balance the often competing demands of innovation, user/buyer needs, quality, operational improvements, and speed to market
    • Facilitate alignment among executives and other stakeholders
    • Identify, analyze, and prioritize new feature requests
    • Continuously monitor and update the roadmap for product lines you manage
    • Be the authority on the evolving market and competitive landscape
    • Manage the entire product development cycle from strategic planning to launch and post-launch optimization
    • Represent the voice of the customer and represent key stakeholders during the product design and development process
    • Work closely with internal engineering, UX, and stakeholder teams to break down high level projects into product iterations with supporting user stories
    • Partner with Product Marketing on go-to-market launch plans for key releases and new features

    Qualifications:

    • You are a relationship builder and self-starter who enjoys working with a variety of people across a range of functions
    • Proven experience and passion for building market-leading customer-focused products
    • Strong problem-solving, analytical and decision making skills. Ability to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and formulate effective action plans to resolve issues
    • Proven ability to prioritize and deliver customer and business benefits on a frequent cadence
    • Direct ownership and experience managing all aspects of a product throughout its lifecycle
    • General technical understanding how SaaS web-based software and mobile applications are developed
    • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, you must be comfortable presenting your work
    • Willingness to travel when customer feedback or pitching a product vision is best done in person

    Ideal Background:

    • Minimum 5 years of direct SaaS product management experience
    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A/B.S.), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • A high appreciation for market research and data-driven decision making
    • Experience working directly with engineers and design teams
    • Experience working in an iterative software development environment, we use JIRA and Confluence
    • Experience with B2B, Marketing Tech or Ad Tech is a plus
    • Experience in working in a fast-paced environment, or startup, is a plus
