Chief Executive Officer
Ben Nye is Chief Executive Officer of Turbonomic, the leader in workload automation for hybrid cloud. Ben has over 20 years of experience as a senior business leader in the enterprise software space. Prior to Turbonomic, he was Senior Vice President at VERITAS Software following its acquisition of Precise Software, where he served as COO and CFO of Precise. During his tenure, Ben helped build Precise from a $10M privately-held company to a $100M public company – which subsequently became the fastest growing public company in its space. Ben also is co-managing partner at Bain Capital Ventures.
Ben has been named to the Forbes annual “Midas List” of top VC investors three times. He currently serves on the board of several companies including Solarwinds, Rapid7, SevOne, and AppNeta. Previously, Ben was a principal at Allied Capital. He also served as a political appointee member of the Senior Executive Service and direct report to US Treasury Secretaries Robert Rubin and Lloyd Bentsen.
As a Harvard Scholar, Ben graduated with honors from Harvard College and Harvard Business School.
Founder and President
Shmuel Kliger is Founder and President of Turbonomic, the leader in Application Resource Management. In this role, he leads product development, strategy and management. Before founding Turbonomic, Shmuel served as Vice President of Architecture and Applied Research within EMC's CTO Office (now part of Dell Technologies). Prior to that, he was the CTO of the Resource Management Software Group at EMC, which he joined through EMC's acquisition of Smarts where he was a co-founder and CTO.
At Smarts, Shmuel was responsible for setting the vision and strategy as well as managing the R&D, Professional Services, Technical Support and Technology Partner Development organizations. Before Smarts, he was a member of the Distributed Systems Software Technology department at IBM Research developing middleware technologies. Shmuel also served as a senior researcher at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel, and Manager of Technical Support Services for International Business Software in Israel.
Shmuel holds a B.S. in mathematics from Bar Ilan University. He also holds an M.S. and a Ph.D. in computer science from the Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel. Shmuel is an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist.
Chief Financial Officer
Mo Garad is Chief Financial Officer at Turbonomic, the leader in Application Resource Management. In this role, Mo is responsible for finance and operations.
At Precise, Mo served as VP of strategic planning and M&A and VP of finance. He was part of the management team involved in the Company's IPO in June 2000 and its acquisition by VERITAS for over $650M in June 2003.
Chief People Officer
Brent Wilkinson is the Chief People Officer at Turbonomic, the leader in Application Resource Management. He is responsible for the strategic direction, development, and execution of Turbonomic’s global people strategy. In this role, Brent drives global talent acquisition and management, people operations and systems, and employee engagement and development – in alignment with the company’s business strategy and accelerating growth. He is focused on enabling +500 employees to drive Turbonomic’s mission, ensure a culture that attracts the world’s most talented and passionate people who are committed to customer success, and nurture the company to continue being a Best Place to Work (named an Inc. Best Workplaces in 2018 and 2019).
Brent is a 30-year tech industry veteran, skilled at assembling and growing diverse teams in technology companies – small and large. He has broad experience as an operator, serving in a variety of executive leadership roles across several industries (including application performance management, FinTech, and financial services, technology services, manufacturing, retail, and clean energy). Most recently, he served as CEO at Zillion, a healthcare technology company with an impressive growth story – where he drove dramatic growth advancing the company toward profitability. Before that, he was Vice President of John Hancock Financial Services and CEO and President of Nexus Capital.
Brent received his MBA from Harvard Business School and Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics cum laude from Harvard University. He is a proud husband and father of four, and has called Boston home for the last three decades.
Chief Marketing Officer
Tom Murphy is Chief Marketing Officer at Turbonomic, the leader in Application Resource Management. With decades of global marketing experience, Tom helps power Turbonomic’s growth by driving brand awareness and demand generation in the enterprise cloud market.
Prior to Turbonomic, Tom served a dual role as CMO and SVP of Sales at Bradford Networks. In this role, he was responsible for demand generation, positioning and brand awareness in addition to top-line revenue. Before Bradford, he was CMO at Bit9 (now Carbon Black), where he helped establish its position as a market leader. Tom has also held various marketing and product leadership positions at technology companies including Symantec, Veritas and BMC. He began his career as a developer / IT architect at GTE.
Tom holds an MS in Computer Science from Northeastern.
Chief Technology Officer
Charles Crouchman joined Turbonomic, the leader in Application Resource Management, in January 2014 and currently serves as Chief Technology Officer. In this role, Charles is responsible for driving product strategy and leading product management, in addition to supporting strategic sales and business development.
Charles has helped drive the evolution of infrastructure automation from basic job scheduling to complex orchestration and now to analytics driven automation. He believes that the use of advanced analytics to solve complex and important problems in infrastructure represents the future of automation and that the most complex and important problem to solve right now is providing true resource elasticity across both private data centers and public clouds.
Charles has over 25 years of leadership experience in engineering and product delivery, software development, consulting and education. Before Turbonomic, he held senior executive positions at technology startups, including Cirba (now Densify), Mformation Technologies, Opalis Software (acquired by Microsoft and now a key technology in its data center platform), and Cybermation (acquired by CA) where he was SVP of Development and responsible for CA’s workload automation portfolio, representing more than $200M in annual revenue and used by more than 80% of the Fortune 500.
Charles holds a Bachelor of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo, Canada.
SVP, Cloud Partnerships
Jennifer Heard is Senior Vice President of Cloud Partnerships at Turbonomic, the leader in Application Resource Management. Partnerships with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and other public cloud providers are core to Turbonomic's strategy to help organizations safely accelerate their migration to public cloud and, once there, maximize and optimize their hybrid cloud estate. In her role, Jennifer is responsible for leading, building and expanding the Company's relationships with strategic public cloud partners.
Prior to Turbonomic, during 21 years at Microsoft, Jennifer served as Worldwide Vice President for Corporate Accounts and Partner Sales, where her team grew cloud revenue contribution to nearly 40 percent of the all up business by driving co-engagement engines with over 2,500 partners, reaching over 85,000 customers.
Jennifer has over 30 years of experience leading digital transformation, including a various range of senior leadership roles, including managing technology decisions as a CIO for a high-tech company and leading the worldwide commercial and channel segment for Microsoft. She started her career as a programmer.
SVP Sales, North America
Steve Corndell is Senior Vice President of Sales in North America at Turbonomic, the leader in Application Resource Management. Steve joined Turbonomic in February 2012, and during his tenure has served in a variety of sales leadership roles, including Sales Director, Regional Vice President of Sales for the Commercial and Enterprise businesses, and most recently GM & VP of Sales for Commercial. He also played an integral role in the design and implementation of Turbonomic's Enterprise and Commercial Sales organizations, in addition to playing a central role in launching Turbonomic’s Channel Sales team. Steve is currently responsible for revenue across North America from the Commercial and Enterprise teams, as well as driving alignment between sales, customers, and partners. He is committed to helping customers assure application performance and deliver on their most important business initiatives.
Steve has over a decade of experience in technology sales leadership. Prior to Turbonomic, he served in a variety of sales roles at EMC (now Dell Technologies), including running EMC’s Direct Market Reseller team as a Solution Specialist.
Steve is a graduate of Bryant University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Marketing.
VP, Sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa
Dason Bodilly joined Turbonomic, the leader in Application Resource Management, in June 2018. He currently serves as Vice President of Sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Dason is responsible for driving, implementing and executing Turbonomic’s sales strategy and growth initiatives across EMEA. He is focused on driving revenue and bookings growth, growing local partnerships, enablement for employees, partners and customers, and delivering world-class customer success and satisfaction.
Dason brings over 25 years of experience as a sales leader, building successful teams as well as expanding strategic alliances and business partnerships across EMEA and Asia Pacific. Prior to Turbonomic, he was the Sales Director of EMEA for the NetApp Cloud Data Services business. Before that, Dason held various sales leadership roles at VCE, EMC Smarts, mFormation Technologies, Eyretel, Clarify and Oracle – each time successfully expanding the organization’s local market presence.
Dason holds an MBA and Bachelor of Science in Applied Science from Kingston University.
