We’re committed to making WorkLife better—for our users and our own team members. In today’s world, the line between Work and Life is blurred. It has become harder to find time to do the things that matter most. We believe technology can solve that. At Motus, our technology helps users enjoy a better WorkLife and allows them to find their own balance and move work forward.
We make WorkLife better for mobile workers with our products and services. And because we’re so focused on making WorkLife better for our users, it’s especially important to us that we have the best WorkLife possible at Motus.
Our approach to having the best WorkLife is built on four pillars:
You should love what you do, and who you do it with. We hire people we want to work and spend time with – whether collaborating on a project or sharing a meal at a new restaurant. We’ve taken a thoughtful approach to building a culture befitting the modern remote workforce and do everything we can to make life more fun and less stressful for our team members, from collaborative lunches and experience-based summits in unique locations to philanthropy days and a suite of customized perk offerings.
Staying healthy is important. When we feel good, we’re more creative, focused, and prepared to drive the business forward. We prioritize the physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of our team members with various wellness initiatives and robust healthcare plans.
This is all about having the flexibility, tools, and empowerment to execute on our goals in the way that makes the most sense for us. We measure ourselves based on results rather than the amount of time we spend at a desk. We trust our team members to work when and how they want and provide the structure and infrastructure to support innovation, collaboration, and career advancement.
We are happiest and most productive when we can choose our own work environment. At Motus, we have the opportunity to work from anywhere – whether in a home office or a café on a trip abroad, whether together or apart. The world is your office.
The culture here is very inclusive. It’s almost homey. It really feels like it’s all for one and one for all, because everyone from my manager to all the team members, even really new people—it just feels like we’re a team, like we’re playing with each other and for each other.
At Motus, the people you work with are also the people you’ll hang out with after work, and that’s a great environment to be in. Everyone is wicked smart, intellectually stimulating, and challenging. We’ve built a culture where people aren’t just going to nod their heads. Our environment truly fosters healthy debate, which is really important in terms of ending up with the best product.
I joined the Motus team because I saw the opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing company with lots of potential. My current role bridges Operations, Corporate Development, and Services, with my time divided between budgeting and forecasting, process improvement and data integrity, and managing the Services teams. Whether I’m being pulled into a new project by senior management or taking it upon myself to spearhead an initiative or two, every day there’s a new challenge, and that’s exciting.
There is so much opportunity for upward mobility here. Someone can start out doing one thing and end up finding their passion and taking on a completely different role. That sort of career thoughtfulness is definitely encouraged here: we're being told to think about what we want to do and where we want to go, and there are people in place to help us get there.
There’s a reason I’ve been here for so long—it’s never the same thing, and you never get bored. When it comes to the technology, we don’t just pick something and stick with it. At most companies, if something’s working, they won’t touch it. But we do. Our leadership is always trying to increase efficiency and be on the cutting edge of technology, and if there’s a better way, they let us do it.
My official tagline is that I come up with disruptive technologies that don’t disrupt the company. I essentially get to go off and do a lot of plate-spinning, and the ideas that stick make it to Development and into our product and out to our user base. It’s exhilarating to have a hand in building solutions that are going to enable the mobile worker—and we’re all mobile workers, really—and help make people’s lives better.
Welcome to Motus!
Motus is Latin for "motion" which is reflected in our office décor as well as the way the space was designed.
We are committed to making WorkLife better for our customers, drivers and team members. One way we do that for our team members is through our beautiful open office space.
It has incredible views of Boston!
We have a pretty sweet café area…
…where we love to catch up over catered lunch…
…or grab a cold brew coffee.
Naturally, the café is our favorite gathering place.
Check out its living plant wall!
The Motus office has plenty of cool spaces where team members can congregate for a meeting or work on their own…
…like Four Corners…
…or the aptly named O!
Vouchly on our driver care team is all smiles!
A few members of our tech team collaborating.
Our product team getting creative.
Looks like Dan on our banking team is having fun!
Grab a healthy snack (or a cold one after work).
