Aetna is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (Full Stack) to help execute their quality strategy. As a member of the Digital Transformation Engineering team, you will be responsible for quality-related activities. This includes working directly with Product, Design, Development, Architects, Accessibility, Security and project stakeholders to develop and release the highest quality software products. quality engineering practices are applied throughout the Agile development lifecycle. You'll collaborate with cross-functional and cross-organizational Quality Engineering team members on initiatives and techniques that promote the best software testing practices and automation tools.

As a Senior SDET, you will:
Have experience on the implementation and execution of automation testing to include testing coverage that ensures the delivery of a high-quality user experience for web and mobile applications
Strong experience testing APIs
Strong Java skills
Contribute to the quality engineering activities by providing technical guidance throughout every phase of the SDLC by partnering with stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
Verify that each story is delivered with the proper Unit, Integration, Acceptance, System, Regression, UAT, Security and Performance test coverage
Evaluate and record test results and document issues in our test management tool
Be a quality advocate and work with fellow team members while observing engineering best practices
- Contribute towards continuous improvements
Collaborate with engineering team on test automation while working with best-in-class technologies, practices and tools
Have excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work within an Agile Scrum Team environment
Promote proper implementation of Agile SAFe techniques and principals for sprint planning and estimation
Contribute to overall project progress and ensure the timely deliverables are met with the highest quality
- 5+ years software development life cycle experience with concentration in quality assurance or application program development
Good test case preparation and automated testing experience
Experience with test processes, strategies, approaches and system troubleshooting
Good understanding of BDD/TDD execution and approach
Automation test framework tools, scripting experience including some of the following: Java, Node.js, Kotlin, Selenium/Appium, TestNG, REST Assured, Cucumber, Cypress, Espresso, Perfecto, messaging queue: (i.e. Kafka, AWS SQS), API, JSON, XML, Mobile
Experience with defect management and test case management tools required
