Job Description:

Wellist is seeking an ambitious and experienced Director, Sales to drive the growth and profitability of a dynamic start up with a patient-centric mission. The Director, Sales will be responsible for achieving aggressive revenue targets by directing and aligning resources to move leads through the sales funnel and directly closing deals. S/he will work closely with the CEO, leadership, Client Delivery, and Marketing teams to define existing and future market segments and opportunities, enhance Wellist's external communications, and continuously improve our sales strategy and tactics. A successful candidate will be a strong, customer-focused leader, that leverages a deep knowledge of the broader healthcare delivery system and Wellists solution in a consultative sales approach.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute strategies for entering into new and expanding within existing geographies
  • Develop and implement lead generation activities to build robust pipeline of deals, including leveraging company and personal networks, with Marketing and Client Delivery teams
  • Prioritize leads and create account approach strategies, including identification of appropriate entry points
  • Identify, develop and leverage strategic relationships at C-Suite and executive levels
  • Use a consultative sales approach to ensure mutual fit and move deals through the funnel, leveraging on- and off-site meetings, presentations, and demos
  • Meet quarterly and annual revenue targets
  • Maintain and improve CRM system; manage travel budget; create and run sale funnel and revenue projection reports
  • Collaborate with leadership team to identify new market segments, hone price and positioning strategies and refine value proposition articulation for various audiences

Position Competencies:

The successful candidate must be a strong, customer-focused leader, who is well organized, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong knowledge of the broad healthcare delivery system and a commensurate network of contacts is a must. Experience prospecting through social media such as LinkedIn is a plus.

Sales leadership and expertise: 5+ years of consultative sales experience to senior hospital executives. Deep knowledge and understanding of techniques in account targeting, lead generation, deal development, closing, contract and price negotiations, building and maintaining customer relationships, forecasting, budgeting and reporting

Proven success: Documented achievement of sales objectives in a variety of distribution structures and product segments

Advanced relationship skills: Ability to develop strong and lasting partnerships with customers, turning them into company and product advocates willing to speak on our behalf. Display personal qualities and professional skills that translate into immediate trust amongst key stakeholders at target accounts

Communication/Presentation skills: Commanding presence indicating vast product, company, competitor, industry, expertise related to healthcare delivery and payor dynamics. Speaking methods and style that naturally highlight big picture value propositions, inspire leadership and innovation, and entice participation and partnership

Business judgment: Understands Wellists business model, and implements sales strategies in order to capitalize on opportunities and reduce competitive threats. Constantly leads by example by way of impeccable integrity and professionalism and exhibits an honest/customer-centric attitude at all times

Ownership: Generates and communicates clear priorities, independently drives core activities, effectively gathers and incorporates feedback, and takes personal stake in advancing the Wellist mission
