NetBrain was founded in 2004 to pursue a mission of simplifying network management. Founded by Lingping Gao (CCIE #6625) after years of managing enterprise networks manually, NetBrain now provides an integrated Network Operating System for end-to-end network visibility. Today’s enterprise networks are a hybrid of physical, virtual and software-defined environments, comprised of many vendors. NetBrain employs a dynamic map as the user interface to manage the total network.
More than 1,000 of the world’s largest networks leverage our platform to automate network documentation, troubleshooting, and countless other tasks.. NetBrain is headquartered in Burlington, Massachusetts, with offices in Melville, NY, Sacramento, CA, Munich, Germany, and Beijing, China.

Founder, CEO & Chairman
Lingping Gao founded NetBrain Technologies in 2004 with a mission to simplify network management. Prior to founding NetBrain, Mr. Gao was the Chief Network Architect at Thomson Financial, where he managed the complexities of large enterprise networks and experienced the challenges of maintaining network performance. Mr. Gao has experience within multiple areas of business, including management, engineering and international business within the networking, software and automotive industries. Mr. Gao holds a BS and a BA in Automotive Engineering from Tsinghua University and an MS in Engineering from Yale University.
Dr. Weilie Ma has served as the Senior Vice President, Office of the CEO at NetBrain since July 2014. She is responsible for the execution of strategic initiatives supporting rapid expansion of NetBrain, including talent development, international expansion, business partnership, and program management. Prior to this role, Dr. Ma served as the Vice President of Operations from 2007 to 2014. Before joining NetBrain, Dr. Ma worked as a Research Scientist at Children’s Hospital Boston. Dr. Ma holds a Ph.D. degree from Yale University in Biology.
Vice President of Services/Support/Pre-Sales
Song Pang has served as the Vice President of Professional Services/Support and Pre-Sales at NetBrain since 2014, responsible for leading the planning and implementation efforts of professional services and defining the customer support roadmap in collaboration with the Company Committee. Song also leads the Pre-Sales Engineering teams, helping to ensure customer success. Eric holds a B.S degree from Cornell in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Head of Global Talent Acquisition
Matthew Liptak joined NetBrain in 2017 as the first leader of Talent Acquisition to help the company as it experienced high growth and the opening of several locations globally. He was tasked with not only centralizing recruitment, but also establishing a process, implementing a strategy as well as training and mentoring hiring managers on recruitment, seamlessly streamlining recruitment. He has a 25 year vast in-depth background in recruitment and staffing worked for several companies previously including: Veracode, Aspen Technology, Nuance Communications, Reebok, Shawmut Construction and American Power Conversion Corporation.
