About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager, Data who is humble, member-centric, and committed to the relentless improvement of everything we do! This is an exciting new role, as this person would be our first Product Manager dedicated to our Data Products, working to build products that leverage our big data platform. If defining, building and managing Data Products that turn data into actionable insights is exciting, this role would be an excellent fit for you.
A successful individual will be able to increase member value and the business value that we derive from our data. They should be able to use their experience to translate user stories into elements of work that agile practitioners and squad members can deliver on. This person should also have the strong ability to assimilate knowledge while continuously sharing with and educating others. This role is highly cross functional, as it will work closely with members of our Product Team, Data Team (Data Engineering, Analytics Enablement, Business Intelligence & Data Science), and business partners across the organization. The Data Products built will deliver extremely high impact to the company and provide the capability for people to make optimal business decisions.
Responsibilities
Contribute to, leverage, and enrich product strategies while defining and managing the Data product roadmaps and increasing their business value
Lead key Data product design and deliveries, and ensure effective communications in order to define and create product metrics
Champion Data Strategy and Technical Roadmap to Product Teams for awareness and feedback
Understand and represent stakeholders needs, prioritizing sprint plans and delivery schedules while engaging with stakeholders as the key point of contact to uncover new areas of the business in which data can impact
Set and manage expectation of Data product lifecycle to ensure seamless high-quality design, delivery, launch, support & decommission
Communicate the value of Data product deliverables and data workstreams to product and stakeholder groups
Understand technical and data capabilities, timelines and resources to prioritize them based on the product features and business impact
Lead team ceremonies, e.g., sprint planning and backlog refinement; handle multiple data backlogs and lead product (end-user) documentation, ensuring assets are widely understood and adopted
Collaborate with Program Management to help define processes that improve the teams efficiencies and prioritize organization goals
Embed Data Security into Products design and, provide clarity and framework for Business Continuity
Requirements
4+ years of experience as a Product Owner, preferably managing a Data Portfolio
Experience managing a multi-quarter roadmap & data storytelling
A keen eye for a good user experience and ability to create mockups
Experience using Design Thinking in your requirements workshop and solution definition
Familiarity with data science, data modeling, data engineering and data visualization
