Duck Creek Technologies LLC seeks a Solution Architect in Basking Ridge, NJ. This position involves travel up to 50% of the time. Additionally, in the future, the base job location may change based on business needs, but, as noted above, the position is based out of Basking Ridge, NJ and telecommuting is not permitted. S/he will interpret and translate client requirements into a solution that can be configured from a standard set of product offerings. S/he will operate as a single point of contact or as part of a team (on large deals with multiple Solution Architects) accountable to the Solution Architecture SPOC from initial stages of an opportunity to deal closure and the transition to the delivery organization(s). S/he will manage all Operating Groups, senior client buyer and functional owner relationships for the designated solution. S/he will drive the necessary sign-off of the solution with proper input from the Operating Groups on client business objectives, industry, risk assessment, budget and preferences. S/he will elicit detailed product requirements and use cases and develop and maintain the business /solution requirements. S/he will understand and translate buyer requirements into a standard solution offering deal approach, solution plan, proposal and cost estimate, leveraging standard process methods, deliverables and the right collection of offerings. S/he will prepare the estimate, schedule, work plan, resource/sourcing plan. S/he will understand and clearly define the input required to create cost estimates; prepare the cost model estimates working with delivery organization(s) and Solution Management (if applicable) to deliver the defined scope of services. S/he will review functional and technical design of product enhancements.
The position of Solution Architect requires a bachelors degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Business Administration, Computer Engineering, or a related technical/analytical field. The position requires 8 years of progressively-responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related IT/solutions position. Additionally, the applicant must have the following number of years of professional experience with each of the following:
8 years: Project management in the P&C insurance industry, including delivery, planning, mobilization; 8 years: Leading P&C insurance industry implementation projects across the software development life cycle; 6 years: Building detailed implementation plans by identifying necessary core component customizations; 4 years: Programming in Java, JSP, and SQL; 5 years: Delivering Enterprise off-the-shelf software; and 3 years: Reviewing functional and technical designs of product enhancement.
