The Senior Technical Accounting Manager engages in a variety of complex arrangements which affords the new team member the ability to learn and grow. Position Summary:
The Senior Manager of Technical Accounting is responsible for conducting research and providing succinct analysis and conclusions related to technical accounting issues as well as all financial reporting requirements.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

50% - Technical Accounting Research

  • Evaluate and conclude on accounting judgments, including but not limited to, business combinations (ASC 805), capitalized software (ASC 350), debt (ASC 470), investments (ASC 321), leases (ASC 842), capitalized cost to fulfill a contract and cost to obtain a contract (ASC 340-40), capitalized website development (ASC 340), goodwill and intangible assets (ASC 350), asset impairments and sales (ASC 360), performance-based and non-performance-based stock awards (ASC 718), contingent liabilities (ASC 450), and various other technical matters
  • Assist in preparation of comprehensive accounting white papers on the Companys critical and new accounting policies, unique transactions, and material judgments referencing all authoritative and industry guidance
  • Consult with the General Ledger team by providing insight into technical accounting for various topics
  • Work with senior leaders from departments including but not limited to FP&A, Legal, R&D, Treasury and Facilities to facilitate the achievement of business goals
  • Assist our financial sponsors in understanding the financial statement implications of various potential and actual transactions
  • Other duties as assigned by the Finance Director

30% - Technical Accounting Operations

  • Primary reviewer in a variety of monthly entries and reconciliations for areas including but not limited to stock compensation, equity, capitalized software, investments and capitalized cost to fulfill
  • Manage the litigation reserve accrual process by working directly with senior legal team members
  • Responsible for reviewing stock-based compensation process including the valuation of the share grants and calculation of expense
  • Review monthly equity rollforwards
  • Reconcile GAAP to Non-GAAP reporting on a quarterly basis
  • Participate in the lease accounting process under ASC 842
  • Work with the auditors during annual audits
  • Other duties as assigned by the Finance Director

15% - Financial Statement preparation

  • Own the preparation of all required quarterly and annual financial statements including related footnotes to be filed with our debtholders
  • Work with the Treasury Director and FP&A teams to ensure reporting of debt covenant calculations including those related to adjusted EBITDA are accurately reflected
  • Own the 302 certification and related party process
  • Prepare the financial statement disclosure checklists
  • Run the financial statement disclosure committee meets as required

5% - M&A diligence and integration (as needed)

  • Assist in preparing due diligence of target companies including understanding and analyzing the targets accounting policies
  • Assist in leading finance integration efforts of acquired business
