Job Description
Title: Senior Software Engineer

Fundamental Components
Position Summary:

Partner with Aetnas cross functional and cross organization teams and be responsible for modern development frameworks for all layers of development including SAFe Software Development methodologies.
Write ETL (Extract / Transform / Load) processes, design database systems, and develop tools for real-time and offline analytic processing.
Drive forward innovation, deliver cutting edge application solutions, use and create RESTful APIs, and participate in high-level T-Shirt sizing and bottoms up story estimation (a forms of practicing relative sizing or estimation).
Work with best of breed of modern technologies (Cloud, high throughput event processing, data analytics, etc) such as: React, Redux, node.js, JavaScript.
Work on authorship of code, modern front end frameworks, test driven development, and build in test from the start.
Write codes (Test and Product) to deliver against project timelines, quality, and requirements in various selected languages.
Work with CI/CD, conduct Unit, System, and Integration testing, fixing found issues, and promote proper implementation of SAFe process techniques.

Background Experience

Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related.


Minimum 2 years of experience understanding business needs and requirements to develop frameworks for all layers of development.
Must have experience with the following: developing Mean Stack application including Mongo DB server setup and Express-JS server; converting mock-ups/wireframes into single page applications utilizing HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap and Angular 2.0 as its core framework;
Implementing web application using MEAN Stack technologies including MongoDB, Express, Angular 2, Node.js along with JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap. Must also have experience supporting Complex applications and working with SQL and Object-Oriented Programming.
