Our Opportunity:

We are hiring a Senior Engineer for our Personalization team in Boston, MA. In this position, you will help us build scalable software systems for Personalization at Chewy. You will demonstrate a passion for delivering outstanding customer experience, experience of building scalable solutions and will bring communication skills that allow you to instill trust in the team that you are working with.

What You'll Do:

  • You will own development of services / product features independently or with a team
  • Own the complete design of the software system
  • You will be comfortable diving deep into technical architectures and requirements and outline solutions
  • You will identify solutions to problems identified discovered during development and resolve them
  • You are able to work with latest technologies on the horizon by ramping up quickly

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years professional experience in software development
  • Experience with, at least, one modern programming language such as C#, Java
  • Experience with lightweight middleware technologies, integration patterns, microservices
  • Experience applying CS fundamentals in OO Design, data structures, algorithms and problem solving
  • Delivery experience working under an Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Position may require travel

Bonus:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • E-commerce experience
  • Frontend frameworks
  • Prior experience with ML, large scale database systems
  • Experience working with AWS or Similar Cloud Environments
