As the leader in home robotics iRobot offers consumers robots than enable people to do more in taking care of their home with a global business footprint across North America, South America; Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. Historically iRobot’s business model has been based on single transactions in the sale of a robot. With an over 30% global penetration potential of floor care robots and current penetration below 10%, there remains a massive growth opportunity for iRobot over the next decade.

In this role you will lead the way in identifying opportunities to accelerate the penetration curve for robotic floor care. You will need to understand the barriers for purchase of iRobot products for our future users, identify business model opportunities to overcome these barriers, and implement the most effective and financially viable opportunities. This individual will be a key player in creating the future of iRobot’s business.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead identifying barriers for users today that are within our target, but are lagging in entering the category
  • Identifying business models that can accelerate growth and profitability for iRobot
  • Holistically evaluate the viability of models, understanding how it addresses needs of the TAM, iRobot financial viability both long term and short term
  • Engage and energize stakeholders (R&D, Sales Regions, Commercial Team, Executive Team) to test and scale viable models
  • Measure, identify and implement opportunities to optimize strategies and tactics


To Be Successful You Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field or technical management
  • MBA or Masters Degree is a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience spanning
    • Product management
    • Portfolio management
    • P/L understanding and business management
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills
  • Entrepreneur mind-set
  • Comfortable navigating through ambiguity, ability to pioneer new ideas
  • Ability to leverage data, analysis and interpret potential outcomes in order to identify actions
  • Ability to roll up sleeves to get work done and keep things moving independently
  • Ability to lead via influence and effective communication
  • Tenacity to keep your program moving despite obstacles
