Overview

The Sales Compensation Analyst will report to the Sales Operations Compensation Manager, with a focus on compensation-oriented activities, in addition to providing critical insight into performance and trends for other parts of the Sales business.  This person will be an important member of a growing sales operations team, which is critical to the overall productivity and scale of our business.  This is an exciting growth opportunity for an individual seeking a high visibility role in fast-paced, dynamic sales environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own or support a subset of sales compensation related functions worldwide such as territory and quota management, plan delivery, maintaining individual comp plans, etc.
  • Provide ongoing support in resolving commission calculation-related inquiries and exceptions with the sales teams
  • Proactively analyze sales rep territories to determine when changes are warranted
  • Verification and payout of sales SPIFs
  • Interact with stakeholders to analyze and optimize owned functions and processes
  • Responsible for quality, accuracy and timeliness of standard reporting
  • Assist in compiling daily, weekly and monthly standard reports and developing best practices, as needed
  • Interface with database team to develop fully automated standard reporting long term
  • Perform complex ad hoc analysis as required, joining multiple variables, co-horting, etc.
  • Evaluate projects, compile data (interfacing with different departments as necessary), analyze trends and present findings to sales management team in efficient and polished manner
  • Go above and beyond initial analysis requests by determining what questions we should be asking;  proactively provide answers to the next logical questions before they are asked
  • Develop expertise of factors impacting sales rep territory balancing
  • Enthusiastically assist in other projects and day-to-day sales operations tasks as need arises
  • Multi-task effectively
  • Quickly respond to priority requests, juggling other projects necessary
  • Provide consistent high level of service to all internal customers

Qualifications

  • Business related BS degree
  • 3 years’ experience in sales operations or like-minded roles
  • SalesForce.com experience encouraged (reporting, dashboards and end-user functionality)
  • BI experience encouraged
  • Strong strategic thinker and problem solver
  • Proficient Excel skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail.  Smart, thorough, and able to work independently
  • Personable; able to work as a member of a team and to interact with peers and internal customers in other departments 
  • Good work ethic, desire to learn and be challenged, self-driven and motivated
