Teikametrics AI is a customer-centric organization that leverages the latest scientific methods to create models and tools to optimize workflows, take smart optimization decisions, and ultimately drive more and better e-commerce results to our customers with less effort. As a Principal Product Manager for AI, you will have ownership for strategic customer-facing initiatives related to AI, and be responsible for directing and prioritizing our activities towards these initiatives' customer and business success criteria.
Your stakeholders will be diverse and span across our end customers, internal data scientists and software engineers, account management, marketing, and other product teams. You will work with your customers to understand and prioritize requirements, define and articulate problem statements, lay the framework for iteratively solving for them, and propose and prioritize a functional roadmap in alignment with your AI and Engineering colleagues. You will create the functional specifications for the capabilities that implement new technologies, and/or leverage existing capabilities to solve new customer problems. Finally, you will determine your programs' success criteria, translated into goals and metrics you will report to peers and leadership on an ongoing basis.
You should be a problem solver who is excited by hard challenges and enjoys working with science, tech, product, design, service, marketing, and sales teams collaboratively. You should be passionate about customers and about leading programs that have both broad influence and unique science and technical challenges to solve. You must enjoy a close-knit team environment of shared responsibility. This role requires great technical expertise, and the ability to dive deep into the science-based challenges and solutions we solve on a daily basis. You have experience leading delivery across science and engineering disciplines and an established track record of delivering complex programs and product solutions with tangible business impact. And you are hungry for measuring your solutions' performance, and taking continuous action based on the inputs your indicators suggest.
Key responsibilities for this role:
Define creative, high quality, and clear product strategy and roadmaps based on customer and stakeholder needs and Teikametrics' strategy, and vision
Create buy-in for product vision and roadmap both internally and across key partners
Develop crips and detailed customer problem statements, business requirements, features and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for the capabilities offered
Effectively and efficiently help root-cause, characterize, and verify deficiencies of systems the AI organization maintains
Manage prioritization and trade-offs among needs of various customer and stakeholder groups, as well as system performance and scalability
Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the teams ability to meet strategic, tactical, or operational goals
Establish a fluid two-way communication between Product/Engineering and different business and service areas of the company, such as Marketing and Services organizations. This leader will effectively communicate releases, act as a subject matter expert of Teikametrics AI, and gather feedback for product and process improvements continuously
- 7+ years of experience in product management, data modeling, statistics/data science, and/or software development
- Ability to effectively communicate and explain AI models, frameworks, and metrics to both technical and non-technical internal and external audiences, as well as product strategy and vision to leadership
- Demonstrated ability to dive deep into complex business problems and break them into smaller manageable units
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to drive projects to completion
- Experience with customer-rooted feature definition, prioritization, and delivery
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Physics, or Statistics
- Experience delivering SaaS technology products/services in a high-growth environment
- Masters of Business Administration
