The Editorial Project Manager will support editorial operations and production for Quil as both a project manager and an editor, steering a team that strives to educate and engage users—across our digital product, email, push and SMS platforms—through compelling content. This individual needs to understand how to direct a project from end to end, discovery to execution, and motivate stakeholders along the way. This individual will also substantially contribute to content creation, including writing, editing and coordinating video production.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Co-develop and manage project planning for all Quil “Journeys” — step-by-step content that empowers users to understand and navigate their health confidently
- Coordinate calendars and project roadmaps, holding team members (including freelancers) and vendors to deadlines in partnership with the Customer Success team
- Lead team communications and daily standups to rally individuals around shared goals
- Bring a point of view on how we can continuously optimize and enhance our content development
- Field client asks—judging priority and urgency, and delegating tasks out articulately
- Use product knowledge to find user-center solutions that bring our content to life
- Serve as a key stakeholder for our CMS, supporting content intake and tooling updates
- Write copy that is clean, accurate and inspiring, infusing Quil’s voice at every stage
- Co-produce video shoots (i.e., Ideation, script-writing, fact-checking, final edits)
- Serve as a stakeholder on analytics and insights; contribute to monthly reports
- Capture takeaways from meetings and reports, disseminating to team members
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- 5+ years’ hands-on experience with project management
- 5+ years’ experience as a writer/editor in a marketing, communications or product function
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to work collaboratively to ensure editorial content and projects are completed successfully
- Demonstrates problem-solving ability, sense of urgency, and the ability to prioritize tasks (i.e. work simultaneously on multiple projects and ensure completion of team projects according to tight timelines)
- Ability to partner with stakeholders to meet timelines and deliverables
- Project management skills consistent with establishing timelines, milestones, and leading contributors to achieve established deliverables on time
- Excellent command of the English language, in both verbal and written form. Strong writing skills with a clear concise style, and excellent grammar, punctuation, and spelling
- A strong point of view on what makes a great project management platform (and how to utilize it cross-functionally)
- Proficiency in a MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, at a minimum
- Experience working in content management systems (i.e. Drupal) is required
- Experience working in design programs (i.e. Figma) and email marketing platforms (i.e. Braze) is preferred
