Job Description

The Project Manager of Medicaid Behavior Change is at the center of operational and project management workstreams in the NYC-based "Behavior Change Pods" agile marketing organization -- this is the CVS Health marketing test & learn innovation group. This person will execute marketing operations for a portfolio of "Next Best Actions" that help members get healthier, reduce medical cost, and raise member satisfaction. The particular focus of this role will be scaling products within our health insurance business (Aetna), pharmacy services business (CVS / Caremark), and with a special focus on Medicaid plans.

Youll be managing the behavioral nudges for a suite of products which are an important part of how our company is addressing system problems with healthcare in the United States. Did you know: 6 out of 10 adults have a chronic disease, and 4 out of 10 of two or more. 9 out of 10 adults lack the health knowledge and resources needed to manage care and prevent disease! Thats where your team comes in using marketing tools to send health prompts to members, guiding them to manage their health and navigate the complex care system in a friendly way.

This is more than just a marketing job! Come onboard and help us define and build the team.

Fundamental Components

  • Manage the operational backbone of campaigns through project leadership of cross-functional team meetings, creating a project plan, and developing timelines. Track and report status of deliverables in all areas from design through to launch. Identify and mitigate blockers as they arise. Escalate through proper channels, when necessary.

  • Organize and maintain project artifacts in appropriate locations. Maintain a portfolio of ongoing campaigns.

  • Participate in review and approval of test and live proofs in a variety of formats and media. Provide feedback and report inaccuracies to the campaign team.

  • Manage and Support Quality Assurance / User Acceptance Testing for each campaign launch. Track and report issues/defects through to fix resolution.

  • Coordinate Campaign Launches through timely and effective communication with your internal teams, partners, approvers, and external vendors.

  • Support Delivery Lead to accomplish campaign deliverables, as needed.

  • Support Continuous Process Improvement through identifying opportunities to streamline and enhance work flows, removing wasteful steps and reducing process time for campaigns.

Background Experience

  • 3+ years in a marketing operations role in a large corporation (ideally working with some combination of email, direct mail, SMS, IVR/phone, paid media, web)

  • May be appropriate with 2+ years of general project management experience (with desire to stretch into a marketing environment), OR 1+ years of general marketing strategy/operations experience, OR 1-2 years of consulting experience

  • PMP and/or Lean Six Sigma certification preferred, but not required

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently within strict schedule deadlines.

  • Some professional experience with PowerPoint (building deliverables / communication materials) and Excel (basic manipulation, pivots, reporting, etc)

  • Strong attention to detail is absolutely critical in order to ensure six sigma levels of error-free campaign delivery.

  • Proficient knowledge of spelling and grammar.

  • Degree or coursework in marketing is preferred, but not required

  • Experience working in an Agile methodology and/or rapid test and learn environment (either directly with marketing campaigns or in a product development environment) is preferred, but not required

  • Experience for healthcare industry, especially Medicaid, is preferred, but not required but a passion for healthcare is necessary!
