News Partnerships is looking for a strategic and operationally-strong professional to lead our Partner Solutions team in North America. The person will optimize how Partner Solutions Managers (PSM) work with partners, support a data and analytics function, and help set global strategy for the News Partnerships team around goals and partner management. The Partner Solutions team works to ensure a seamless experience for partners on our platform through deep product expertise and business analytics. News Partnerships manages Facebook Inc.s product and business relationships with some of the worlds most important news organizations.

Required Skills

  • Manage and develop a team of Partner Solutions Managers that works across local and national news in the US and Canada
  • Help set News Partnerships' goals and align this team to deliver against them
  • Support managed partners and liaise with Strategic Partner Managers and other internal stakeholders to optimize partner experience on the platform
  • Serve as a central connection point for Global News PSM and develop channels for communication and collaboration
  • Proactively advocate for partners and push issues toward resolution
  • Optimize team performance by leading process improvement initiatives, identifying growth opportunities, and setting individual goals
  • Identify process gaps and work with product and operations teams to develop scalable solutions
  • Develop support models for central news teams that drive global initiatives
  • Adapt quickly to product changes and limitations, and communicate these strategies to stakeholders and partners
  • Develop deep product expertise with an ability to collect and synthesize meaningful feedback to drive our product roadmap
  • Serve as an internal advocate in connecting teams to product and operational solutions

This includes measuring and improving performance, reliability, security, and efficiency of network communication with Facebook servers. Getting the most out of a diverse set of worldwide mobile networks, and millions of handsets with a wide range of hardware capabilities is challenging as well as fun. All this while we play good citizens in these networks and are mindful of the device battery, storage, and data consumption.
