Facebook seeks an experienced Product Marketing professional with a background in news media to join the Partner Product Marketing team (PPM). PPM is a function within Media Partnerships responsible for driving product understanding and adoption through the Strategic Partner Manager and Partner Solutions teams that work closely with media companies, content creators, digital publishers, news publishers, and public figures. The focus of this role will be driving impact by helping our news partners - including broadcasters, print publishers, digital publishers, and local publishers - adopt Facebook product solutions in order to meet their business needs.You will help us build better products by representing the market back to various product teams, while helping partners better understand our product solutions and why they are valuable by helping craft our message to the market. This role will require you to gain a deep understanding of our news partners' needs, so that you can confidently influence product roadmaps and lead outbound go-to-market strategies that optimize for growth, adoption, and partner value. Success in this role will be when partners can easily adopt and grow their usage of our products and features to support their business goals.The successful candidate will develop data-driven growth strategies and market segmentation, compile market feedback, and synthesize market trends across the news landscape. He or she must also have experience influencing stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization.This is a full-time position located in our New York office.
- Work closely with the news partnerships team to drive growth strategy for our applicable products by helping partners understand our products and how to use them to achieve their business objectives. This work includes internal enablement, training, and segment-specific product messaging as well as informing marketing collateral (such as product/segment narratives and playbook)
- Distill and surface market feedback to inform new and existing product strategy to unlock the greatest value for Facebook and our partners
- Engage other roles like Media Operations and Marketing through cross-functional, cross-vertical and cross-office collaboration
- Understand the content landscape and media environment, revenue streams, digital business models and overall internet/technology space, and be a reliable source of insight on those media & entertainment products
