Facebooks Global Industry Marketing team is actively seeking a full-time and experienced marketing professional who will drive key industry marketing initiatives on a global scalewith a focus on driving thought leadership in North America and Latin America on some of the industrys largest stages as well as within Facebooks own partner centers. The Industry Marketing Manager must be someone who innately understands and appreciates the power of thought leadership, partnerships and programming to tell the Facebook story, demonstrate the capacity to build a strong networked community and exhibit fluency in working with both global and local teams to drive impact. The New York-based Industry Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and driving a strategic industry marketing plan related to building awareness of Facebook in North America and Latin America. The Industry Marketing Manager role will require a significant amount of thought leadership expertise and relationship-buildingfrom forging strategic partnerships with industry associations to gaining the trust of cross-functional partners and key stakeholders worldwide. The individual who ultimately steps into this role must possess exceptional content programming, organizational and communications skillsand a marketing mindset that is as strategic as it is creative, with a strong audience awareness and fluency in media, advertising and technology. The Industry Marketing Manager must be someone who is a self-starter and thrives in an extremely fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. He/she should possess a strong work ethic, as well as a genuine passion for marketing and, above all else, the Facebook mission.

Required Skills

  • Proactive & Prioritized Industry Marketing Plan for both North America and Latin America:
    • Develop an industry marketing plan that outlines ways to engage with key industry partners within Facebook at our partner centers and within the industry associations and secure relevant communication opportunities
    • Operationalize & scale this plan via processes, best practices and cross-functional collaboration
    • Manage Global Industry Marketing's external vendor for speaker placement, pitching and logistics
    • Identify and negotiate sponsorship deals
  • Reactive Industry Plan:
  • Develop a reactive (and scalable) plan to effectively manage opportunities
  • Thought Leadership & Speaking Program:
    • Manage the global industry marketing program for Facebook in the Americas
    • Build relationships both internally and externally to ensure the Global Industry Marketing team is always aware of (or ahead of) the current state of the industry
    • Partner closely with the broader Global Business Marketing team and regional teams
    • Be the industry expert in both North America and LATAM opportunities and identify tangential opportunities that will broaden the impact of key in market messages
  • Managing Global Tentpoles:
    • Leading a small team to build thought leadership strategies and execute against them
    • Support content development for thought leaders

This includes measuring and improving performance, reliability, security, and efficiency of network communication with Facebook servers. Getting the most out of a diverse set of worldwide mobile networks, and millions of handsets with a wide range of hardware capabilities is challenging as well as fun. All this while we play good citizens in these networks and are mindful of the device battery, storage, and data consumption.
