Tripadvisor is seeking an experienced and ambitious Chief of Staff to support the VP, Product Design and our talented team of creatives. This role will be pivotal in influencing the operational strategy of our design team, keeping them motivated and solving problems before they exist. Day to day, youll collaborate with various team members across the organization to discuss functional challenges, team objectives, and bring a solutions oriented mindset to the table. You will bring with you the ability to both zoom out to the strategy, and dig into the details to get things done. You will play a crucial role in driving high impact initiatives, but most importantly your top responsibility will be to be the glue to help work with the VP, Product Design and the team to drive their strategic efforts home for Tripadvisor.
Overall Responsibilities:

Foster a positive culture of diverse collaboration on the team through leading efforts around team building, celebrating wins, and implementing action plans to help staff operate efficiently and with purpose.

Responsible for developing and delivering processes and procedures across a broad swath of initiatives for Tripadvisors VP, Product Design and respective team.

Support the VP, Product Design in their day to day efforts: including but not limited to calendar management, developing presentations, time management, and prioritizing strategic efforts.

Help the VP filter and align their time to focus on key priorities of the business including setting cadences, agendas, and logistics.

Work collaboratively with team members to drive the planning and execution of work across our product and design teams while connecting and providing transparency to our business partners across the organization.

Collaborate with VP, Product Design and other team leaders to understand existing bottlenecks, problems, and develop new programs and processes to address them appropriately.

Maintain effective communication with senior management to keep them aware of critical issues and develop action plans for addressing issues and removing roadblocks.

From a strategic standpoint and vision, support the VP, Product Design and respective team that architects, builds, and delivers our product to millions of customers worldwide

Identify, prioritize and surface topics and issues that require the VPs attention along with suggestions for mitigation or resolution.

Define key priorities and translate them into comprehensive plans.

Strategic thought partner to the VP, Product Design on planning and thinking in the next.
Requirements:

At least 6+ years of experience within a business operations leadership position.

Proven track record of building processes and practices within an organization to drive strategic initiatives and operations.

History of supporting, and working with, senior level executives on a variety of tactical and strategic initiatives.

You are naturally solutions oriented. You can effectively collaborate with peers and leadership to arrive at thoughtful and strategic solutions.

Ability to think strategically from first principles while leading with a sense of urgency through ambiguities.
