Essential Functions
This Account Director position will be responsible for overall client leadership including, but not limited to, strong client cross-functional integration and management, development of strategic annual plans, overseeing the execution of plans, and financial management. This position will be primarily located within the client's headquarter office; this person will be the eyes and ears of the Agency, while becoming an extension of the client team.
The Account Director:
Is expected to lead the business independently, from the highest level of strategic planning to the execution and implementation of those marketing plans.
Strives to add value to the client's business, thereby making himself/herself an invaluable member/partner of the client's business team.
Is the team leader, responsible for motivating his/her team, addressing areas of need, and ensuring the highest possible quality of work generated by the team.
Is responsible for profitably building the business on which he/she works, by identifying new project and business opportunities.

Position Responsibilities:

Account Leadership
Become a brand champion, understand the competitive landscape, and identify white space opportunities for the client's business
Act as key integration lead for internal and client team, communicating day-to-day and long-term updates/news and establishing strong partnership with other agencies supporting client business
Establish integrated marketing planning and execution process, driving efficiency of communication
Wield data and insights like a ninja; ability to analyze data to make informed recommendations to client, and challenge vendors to optimize for maximum results
Responsible for the development and management of strategic annual account plans that deliver against client's business objectives
Ability to understand annual plan optimization process and provide client recommendations in an ongoing basis
Work collaboratively with the client team and cross-functional agencies to ensure development and alignment to overall plan and strategies
Service client personally and directly, managing client expectations and updating leadership team on opportunities
Provide a point of view and be an active thought-leader for the client; add value, expertise and knowledge with every interaction
Be a go-to resource for client and internal team, consulting on challenges/opportunities and providing plan/action recommendations
Understand Epsilon's core competencies to cross sell and expand Epsilon's sphere of influence within the client organization
Coach and mentor direct and indirect team reports
Willing to encourage team/client/partners to challenge the status quo based on opportunity, results-potential
Cultivate long-term client relationships, including those at the senior level
Project Direction
Develop, investigate and initiate project opportunities, defining/clarifying direction with client to manage expectations
Define and communicate timing and budget updates with internal and client teams
Identify appropriate functional partners to facilitate integration and flawless execution of client deliverables
Ensure high levels of accuracy across all aspects of the business
Establish strong working relationship with the creative and production teams
Financial Management
Responsible for the financial contributions of business including revenue, resource allocation/expenses, invoicing, collecting bad debt, margin improvement, contract negotiations/development
Deliver on preset gross profit objectives
Coordinate project estimates internally and gain client approval on pricing
Manage internal project costs against budgets
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Minimum of six years of relevant work experience
Candidates must demonstrate the following:
A demonstrated champion of client-service
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, autonomous environment
Strong skills in strategic planning, project management, and implementation
Excellent day-to-day communication and presentation skills
Solution-oriented with speed; ability to quickly develop action plan for client requests and needs of the business
Understanding of the essentials of marketing
Desire to cultivate strong agency culture and uphold agency reputation within client's office, while creating relationships across organization
The ability to meet or exceed client expectations in the area of account management, industry/category/brand knowledge with a good understanding of industry channels and market conditions
Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office program
