About the role
The Network SecOps Engineer will be involved in maintaining all of Bullhorn's health and stability of the production network that supports Bullhorn's products. Network security engineers will be working primarily within Cisco and Palo Alto environments across all of Bullhorns global on-prem and cloud datacenters, as well as Bullhorns corporate office locations worldwide. Their responsibilities will include maintaining all of Bullhorns datacenter infrastructure as well as network switches, routers, wireless controllers/APs, and security appliances within Bullhorns corporate office locations. Bullhorns Network Engineering team is responsible for maintaining the health and stability of the production network supporting Bullhorns products as well as all of Bullhorns corporate office locations.
Act as the initial triage point for all network security-related tickets
Champion the maturation of our security posture across our data centers
Maintaining Bullhorns standard SLA for network uptime at 99.95%
Firewall management of Palo Alto and Netgate firewalls
Network management of Cisco NX/ IOS switches, routers, and wireless controllers/APs
Network traffic analysis
Setup and configuration of servers/network gear
Development of security solutions supporting a SaaS environment within on-prem and cloud datacenters
Strong network troubleshooting skills
Infrastructure - Installation of new hardware
Maintaining datacenter hardware while supporting system and network admins/engineers
High level support for trouble isolation within a datacenter and office environments
Working with vendors on new turn-ups, maintenance, or trouble isolation
Vendor RMA management
Maintaining data center and office inventory including DC spares depot
Collaborate with Bullhorn InfoSec team to develop threat matrices and needed action plans for remediation
A typical day will include...
5+ years network and firewall administration experience in a datacenter or large enterprise office environment
3+ years experience working with IGP and EGP routing protocols
Strong understanding of L2/L3 technologies
Network design and implementation of enterprise level networks
Network security administration for both on-prem and cloud environments
Participate in an on-call rotation
This role is a fit for you if
Experience in design and implementation of networks and security elements (IAM, IDP/IDS, FW, Load Balancing, WAFs, etc.) in public clouds - AWS, Azure, GCP
Experience with supporting Citrix load balancers
Youve worked in Jira, Confluence, and Solarwinds
