: Marketing & Analytics Lead

SidelineSwap is seeking a Marketing & Analytics Lead to join our Growth team. In this role, you will be responsible for proactive analysis related to acquisition, retention marketing, and UX in order to drive business strategy. You should be excited to be an early employee at a early-stage, high-growth startup and eager to make a meaningful impact on SidelineSwap’s future. This position is based out of our headquarters in Boston, MA.


What you’ll do:

  • Drive the traffic acquisition roadmap; conduct in-depth, data-driven analysis to inform prioritization (with a focus on marketing efficiency)

  • Develop models to understand marketing efficiency and uncover new opportunities for acquisition and retention marketing channels, including but not limited to: Paid Social, Paid Search, Email, Referral, etc.

  • Master our growing stack of business intelligence tools (Amplitude), data modeling tools (SQL-based), marketing segmentation tools, and data science tools

  • Own the customer journey from first touch to first purchase (or listing), and optimize the activation and retention marketing funnel.

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in an analytical or social science major (e.g. math, statistics, economics).

  • At least 2 years of professional experience, with a background in business / strategy consulting, consumer marketing or investment banking; ideally with marketing acumen

  • Data-oriented thinker with excellent strategic and analytical capabilities

  • Strong Excel modeling skills

  • Experience with SQL and a business intelligence tool like Amplitude, Looker or Tableau preferred, but not required

  • An understanding and strong interest in all aspects of growth marketing in the context of a marketplace business.

  • A strong appreciation for the customer’s needs and behavior.

  • You are intellectually curious and identify areas of analysis that have potential to add business value
