We are looking for a Manager of Engineering to join our AthenaNet Environments and Stability (AES) zone within our Engineering Enablement team. Your job will be to build and develop your team while effectively delivering on the needs of your fellow engineers.

As an Manager on AES, you will have the opportunity to work with a broad range of teams working on nearly all product components and workflows in athenaNet. Additionally, youll be able to build connections with Platform and IaaS divisions, with whom we work closely. But enough about us; lets talk about you.

The Team: With over 21 billion web hits a month and scores of database servers storing hundreds of terabytes of data and a multitude of tables, data is at the very core of our success. Our team of engineers work on our applications Oracle interface and APIs and have strong working knowledge of relational database design, database infrastructure architecture, and the core athena application code. We are the owners of our database models, and serve as consultants on our Database Engineering team for other software developers. We develop cross functional relationships and processes that will ensure improved system reliability and performance, enhanced knowledge of best practices across the organization, and drive long term architectural improvements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide managerial oversight teams to deliver products, considering both individual performance and team goals and ensuring alignment with the overall product line objectives

  • Develop your team to grow them as engineers and as people, to make their development positions at athena their best job ever

  • Maintain technical knowledge of product architecture and connective dependencies; ensure delivery of quality releases in partnership with product management

Typical Qualifications

  • Experience years of leading teams in a technical environment

  • Expertise in modern programming object-oriented languages, knowledge of Unix/Linux, relational databases, and various other technologies like modern JS frameworks and other based technologies

  • Agile know-how very helpful
