Upserve is looking for a dynamic email marketing manager to join its growing marketing team. This is a unique opportunity to join a SaaS business experiencing hyper growth. We are looking for a customer centric email marketing expert who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the VP of Demand Generation this position will be responsible for approach, execution and measurement of all email marketing programs to increase brand value, improve customer retention and drive incremental sales. If you have a proven track record of building and leading highly effective email marketing programs as part of customer life-cycle marketing, and can inspire passion and confidence among your colleagues, you could be fit for this role.

Key Responsibilities
-Own email roadmap, execution and measurement. Use insights from data to identify priority segments and design email marketing programs to maximize value to prospects and customers.
-Build insightful nurture campaigns to drive customer retention and incremental sales to new and existing customers.
-Balance educational and promotional campaigns to support superior customer experience while maximizing customer lifetime value
-Provide email marketing leadership and work with Marketing, Product, Business Applications and Finance teams to establish how email marketing fits in within customer life-cycle marketing.
-Work with cross-functional teams to identify and refine target segments, build re-engagement campaigns and refine audience segmentation and personalization
-Maintain and run A/B and multivariate testing for email marketing programs
-Track, report and improve email marketing KPIs including deliverability, open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, opt-outs rates, and revenues
-Maintain and grow the companys positive brand image
-Partner with the rest of the demand generation team to maximize demand generation volume and efficiency
-Track email marketing best practices, monitor industry trends, and make recommendations for growth

Required Skills and Experience

-Bachelors degree with commensurate experience in email marketing.
-Desire to continually learn and improve.
-Passion for taking risks, improving processes, and making data-driven decisions
-Experience creating, testing, analyzing and optimizing B2B email marketing, remarketing and nurture programs
-Analytical with experience using data for A/B testing, segmentation and personalization
-Hands-on experience with ESPs like Pardot, Mailchimp, Sendgrid, Marketo and CRM such as Salesforce preferred
-Knowledge of CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CCPA
-Knowledge of best practices for improving email deliverability
-Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills with ability to identify and respond to situations quickly
-Hospitality industry experience is a plus

If you could describe working at Upserve in three words, what would they be?

Building on that a little more, why did you decide to work at Upserve?

The team at Upserve is very experienced and I’m at the point in my career where I’m trying to absorb as much as possible from the people I surround myself with in my career. I don’t want to be the smartest person in the room. Even if it’s overwhelming being in a meeting with tons of people with Masters and PhDs, they push you to go a lot faster and learn a lot faster. Sometimes it feels impossible to keep up, then you realize they’re just people who were in your shoes at one point. It’s easy to assume programmers are superhuman beings, but they’re just like everybody else, they’re a bit weird, but I like that.

You mentioned how important it is to surround yourself with people who push you, can you talk a bit more about the culture here at Upserve?

The people are thoughtful, very human and real. They respect that we’re people with lives and that we want to bring our A game but we’re also human and have good days and bad days. I feel really appreciated here, like people listen to me. I feel like they care about my growth as a person and keeping me engaged. I think they go out of their way to make my life easy, to get out of my way and let me do my job. They value that I (and everyone on the team) have a unique opinion and has something to contribute. Plus, I love that they support a lot of the initiatives with women.
