Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Director, Digital Performance Marketing, to join our Digital Marketing team. We’re a growth-oriented organization that recognizes the value a seasoned digital marketer brings to the table, and we’ll provide the tools and resources needed to excel. As Director, you will be accountable for leading a team that is laser focused on growth and acquisition, overseeing all paid, organic, and direct digital marketing channels. The scope of this role requires an in-depth knowledge of paid search, paid social media, ad-serving technologies, DSPs, marketing automation platforms and an advanced knowledge of account-based marketing techniques and platforms. You’re day-to-day is a mix of hands-on digital marketing execution and high-level strategic planning. You will oversee three areas of focus – digital performance marketing (paid search, paid social, programmatic, social media etc.), account-based marketing, and marketing data and analytics. You will report directly to the SVP of Marketing and therefore will be a key member of the senior marketing team. Your focus is on optimizing the customer journey from their first interaction through to conversion and retention, executing and measuring marketing channel effectiveness throughout.
What You Will Do

Oversee all paid and direct digital marketing channels, leading a cross-functional team of subject matter experts to deliver highly optimized digital marketing programs, all to achieve aggressive annual targets.

Deliver detailed and actionable insights and strategic recommendations, allowing the marketing team to clearly understand what tactics and strategies are driving performance throughout the funnel.

Manage and scrutinize the digital marketing budget to ensure that we are driving an efficient spend and maximize every dollar. Work with the team on budget pacing and allocation across all channels, remaining flexible and pivoting to the best performing channels.

Manage a team of subject matter experts that span paid performance, direct digital and data and analytics, honing their capabilities on driving acquisition and growth.

Active involvement in strategic planning on an annual, quarterly and monthly basis to ensure we’re consistently on the leading edge of digital growth marketing.

Monitor industry trends and the competitive landscape, providing thought leadership and direction to continually improve knowledge and skills, communicate new ideas and trends, and ensure digital marketing programs are best-in-class and industry leading.

An expert understanding and application of our first-party data to drive growth, leveraging our segmentation and audience insights to ensure our messaging and channels are relevant and effective.

Develop and implement target account strategy to support account-based selling.

Design & execute 1:1, 1: few, and broad-based marketing initiatives to meet pipeline requirements of varied account segments.

Track lead flow to ensure the appropriate sales channels are following up on marketing in a timely manner.

Develop and maintain comprehensive account profiles and target personas; oversee a database of named contacts to align marketing and sales in defining the target audience required to achieve account goals.

Work with sales to identify gaps in key personas and contact information within strategic accounts; develop data and insight strategy to add key personas and contacts within accounts.

Identify opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness through better audience segmentation, marketing techniques, and processes.

Be the face and the voice of the performance marketing team, presenting strategy and insights up to the executive level of the organization, ensuring our senior leadership has an informed view on how we’re supporting the business.
Qualifications

8-10 years of progressive digital marketing experience.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital, or other applicable areas of expertise.

Demonstrated experience in key digital marketing channels such as paid search, paid social, programmatic, email etc.

Proven track record of delivering exceptional and measurable performance results through digital marketing efforts.

Proven track record with account-based marketing programs and large account selling teams.
-
Experience with targeting, segmentation, and list acquisition to build prospect lists for demand gen campaigns.

On the paid side, you possess a deep understanding of the Google Ads platform, Facebook Ads Manager, and programmatic DSPs such as The Trade Desk.

On the direct digital side, you possess a deep understanding of Salesforce CRM and Marketo.

On the data and analytics side, you possess a deep understanding of GA360, GA4 or other marketing analytics tools and platforms.

Experience defining and implementing a robust MarTech strategy to ensure we have the right technology and digital performance ecosystem at our disposal.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into straightforward and actionable recommendations.

Experience defining and implementing a test and learn strategy, taking learnings and scaling up what drives performance and results.

Extremely collaborative and engaging, drawing on different teams and resources to get the job done all the while building consensus among multiple stakeholders.

Proven leadership with a strong team-work orientation and the ability to work in a constantly changing and evolving organization.

Previous experience in B2B SaaS, B2G or digital marketing would be considered an asset.
