Role Description:
This role of Director, Business Analysis & Insights is a key one that owns the client relationship within an organization in partnership with the Strategy Principal/s and Business Development Team. Leads client engagement and project management from a relationship building and delivery standpoint. Responsible for building and nurturing senior level relationships across multiple functions within the client organization/s. Responsible for proactively identifying opportunities for upsell and cross sell in partnership with the Strategy Principal/s and Business Development Team for a given client account and for scoping projects by translating client business questions into an analytical framework.
Leads execution of all ongoing work at given client /organization and serves as the single point of contact for client teams on ongoing projects. Partners closely with internal and external stakeholders, manages and executes projects successfully, communicating milestones and results. Responsible for day-to-day project needs of the client with the ability to manage on shore & offshore teams and provide quick analytical & data science solutions & analyze data.
Incumbent may be required to work as an individual contributor and/or manage a project team with on site and offshore support, with ability to manage & prioritize across multiple deadlines & projects and must possess excellent client management and project management skills.
Candidate must be familiar with offline and online marketing and promotion strategies, marketing operations, data sources, and a deep understanding of methodologies used to assess the impact of promotion, including marketing mix and test/control analysis.
To summarize, the Director, Business Analysis & Insights lead works actively in partnership with Strategy Principal/s and Business Development Team to identify and generate cross sell and upsell opportunities within client organization/s. Builds and maintains relationships across cross functional teams and partners with client teams to deliver client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Translate client business need and problem into appropriate analytical solution across all commercial analytics in Pharma-Biotech organizations- Brand Insights & Analytics, Marketing, Sales. Manage & Execute data & analytical projects.
Marketing Optimization Projects in the areas of Marketing Mix Modeling, Promotional Responsiveness (ROI), Segmentation/Targeting, Multi-Channel/Digital Marketing Effectiveness and Sales Forecasting.
Predictive analytics and applications like Patient Finder, Dynamic Targeting and Brand Performance/Opportunity optimization
Serve as a thought partner and strategic advisor to the client team and organization.
Build insightful summaries and decks (storyboarding), provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations to clients and other stakeholders.
Lead on & offshore internal teams, maintain seamless communication with client & internal organization, manage expectations, seek clarifications, resolve conflicting priorities proactively.
Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of Pharma-Biotech industry trends and organizational structure & business functions
- Ability to translate business problems into powerful analytical solutions and concrete project plans.
- Proven Ability to think out of the box, assess current processes and offer ideas for improvement.
- Data Science background and familiarity with datasets and data sources in the Pharma/Biotech space including Claims, EMR/EHS, Remit Data, Lab/Diagnostics data, Customer master data, Physician Affiliation data, Specialty Pharmacy & Distribution data is preferred.
- Familiarity with promotional and marketing data sources, metrics, and data operations
- Ability to utilize data and models to inform media strategy and identify performance opportunities, partnering with brand and agency stakeholders.
- Expertise in one or more of programming tools such as R, Python, SAS, and SQL is preferred.
- Ability to identify cross sell and up sell opportunities at the client organization by being aware of and engaging in their core day to day business issues.
- Proven experience and Ability to manage combination of on site and offshore Project teams internally and externally at the client end.
- Ability to build relationships across hierarchy and at senior levels within client organizations.
- Ability to set and manage expectations and deliver on them to maintain high client satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7+ years' experience in Market Research and Business Analytics, Advanced analytics or strategy consulting within Pharma-Biotech organizations or at healthcare data & analytic vendors and or as a Data Scientist with 10+ years of experience in Machine Learning, Marketing, Managed Care/ Access and/or Sales Analytics in the Pharma-Biotech space.
- Prior experience of having client management, project management is mandatory.
- Deep understanding of Marketing Mix methodologies and use cases is mandatory.
- MBA or Masters-PhD in Pharmacy- Pharma -Biosciences related fields or Masters in Economics, Data Science/Analytics, Engineering, AI/ML related fields, Operations Research and/or Statistics from top institutes is preferred.
Some travel will be required for this role - candidate must be willing to commute periodically to client sites in New Jersey and greater Philadelphia areas.
