The Director of Content Strategy on the digital design team is responsible for leading a large team of individual contributors and managers to create the content strategy for CVS Health digital assets. Including, content audits, gap analyses, taxonomies, metadata, style guides, and content migration plans, as well as to write, edit, and deploy content across our digital experience and digital properties through the entire content lifecycle. The Director collaborates closely with designers and CMS architects as well as partners in Product, Marketing, Brand, Engineering, Architecture, and other teams to define the content needs of mobile apps, websites, email, and other digital content to communicate with our customers. Ideal candidates will have the ability to collaborate closely with peers and stakeholders from many different departments and with differing levels of expertise with content strategy.
1. Grow and build high performing teams by hiring and furthering the best talent with a range of a diverse set of backgrounds and experiences. Sets up teams for success through enablement, by giving team members responsibility and accountability.
Ensure teams are staffed correctly to be successful. Aim to appropriately deliver on priorities under tight deadlines; responsible for leading a large team of web and mobile content employees and contractors.
Ensure the content strategy team meets agreed upon milestones, mitigating risk and maximizing process efficiency.
Identify, mentor, nurture, and develop content strategy talent to empower the team to stay informed of changes in the industry, constantly learn and grow as individuals.
2. Provide content thought-leadership with a focus on converting strong conceptual thinking to impactful experiences.
Work with peers and partners to contribute concepts to design and product strategy, develop user journeys, and influence decision-making as it relates to defining impactful experiences.
Ensure that content is accurately developed in final product for optimal effect and support of user goals.
Embody best-in-class content thinking, unending curiosity and creative energy to achieve great outcomes and superior omnichannel experiences.
Establish guidelines, libraries, templates, best practices, and processes for the content strategy team to work efficiently and to create the best communications to our customers.
3. Lead all content strategy team deliverables to deliver on all programs and project goals across multiple lines of business, solutions, and teams.
Determine overall content requirements and potential content sources.
Develop innovative solutions for content presentation, including content management, workflow, and maintenance.
Create taxonomies and metadata frameworks for grouping and tagging content.
Manage multiple workstreams to meet timelines, user needs, and business requirements.
Work with business partners to reimagine, enhance, and edit existing, newly created content, and third party content.
Ensure content conforms to content best practices including SEO, CMS constraints, translations, brand guidelines, and constantly evolving user expectations.
Create or oversee creation of all content to be included in digital solutions
Collaborate with partners to create and maintain style guide, editorial procedures, and other standards across the enterprise
- 10 years of demonstrated experience and ability to lead content strategy across the entire development process (web and mobile)
5 years of management experience
Very refined ability communicate effectively in a digital environment with both technical and non-technical business partners.
5 years of experience with content management systems, digital asset management, authoring and content publishing workflow, APIs, databases, and SEO best practices
5 years of experience creating, optimizing, and evangelizing content processes and best practices.
Expert level attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
Experience in working closely with product management, UX, Information architecture, marketing, and IT to collaborate on decisions.
High tolerance for ambiguity matched only by your desire to organize it

- Previous experience using Adobe Experience Manager for content management.

- Previous experience in Healthcare Industry.
Bachelor's Degree in English, journalism, technical writing, library science, or related field
