What will you own?
- Support the Operations Finance Manager with our inventory and operational reporting requirements
- Management of costing related master data such as updating BOMs, routings, and the creation of new SKUs with the support of supply chain, engineering, and operations
- Provide operations management with regular metric reporting, including variance analysis, to drive operational efficiencies across manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain
- Support the Operations Finance Manager during the budgeting and recost processes to establish labor rates, overhead rates, and material costs while providing monthly reporting to ensure accuracy product costs and inventory valuation
- Responsibility for the analysis supporting the excess and obsolete inventory reserve, warranty reserve, and monthly inventory account reconciliation entries, as well as ad-hoc support for the monthly flux analysis
- Support periodic physical inventory counts at primary and third-party facilities, facilitating third party audit observations
- Monitor, measure and refine KPIs, metrics and operational performance
- Identify and execute ERP system improvement projects related to costing, variances, and inventory
- Support quarterly review and annual audit procedures performed with internal & external auditors
- Opportunity to take on non-cost related accounting projects and responsibilities

What you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferable
- 2-3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in a cost accounting environment is a plus
- Self-motivated to get to the bottom of problems and propose solutions
- Effective at communicating complex topics with an unfamiliar audience
- Strong Excel skills
- Demonstrated ability to learn complex accounting topics and ability to think critically about GAAP-related issues
- Strong attention to detail, well-organized, solution-oriented
- Experience with Sage is a plus
- Exposure to contract manufacturing relationships and workflows is a plus
