Our Enterprise Strategy team is a small, high-performing group that works closely with senior leadership to pave the way for the future of our company.
In Strategy, you will work hand-in-hand with business leaders to identify and analyze exciting new opportunities to drive growth and differentiation in a dynamic industry.
This Director will play a key role in defining, articulating, and quantifying our Enterprise Strategy and path to growth, working closely with a variety of functions across the Enterprise including Finance, Investor Relations, and Communications. In addition, this role will be responsible for taking on a variety of high priority Enterprise-wide special strategic projects, tracking execution of our Strategy, and driving connectivity of efforts across the Enterprise to drive synergies and maximize value.
This leader will report directly into the VP of Enterprise Strategy.
Primary Responsibilities include:
Supporting ongoing development, refinement, and articulation of our Enterprise Strategy and external growth story, working collaboratively with Enterprise Strategy and Business Unit leadership, the office of the CEO, Investor Relations, and Communications
Partnering with Corporate Communications to ensure continuous, effective communication of our CVS Health Strategy to 300K+ colleagues throughout the organization
Driving cross-functional collaboration and alignment of Business and Functional Strategies to our Enterprise Strategy; facilitating large scale meetings and strategic workshops to drive tangible outcomes/output
Managing and executing against a variety of special strategic projects that impact the direction of our Enterprise; solving complex business problems and developing communication vehicles (e.g., presentations, speeches) for a c-suite audience
8+ years of leadership experience in Strategy and/or Corporate Development and technical/functional expertise in one or several of the following areas within the healthcare sector: management consulting, in-house strategy, Investor Relations, mergers and acquisitions
Fact-based, structured, proactive problem solver with collaborative style, proven ability to manage conflict, and strong work ethic
Strong executive presence with ability to develop relationships with senior executives, peers, external advisors, and cross-functional team members as required in support of enterprise strategy development and implementation; with comfort operating in a matrixed environment
Proven skills in developing strategic frameworks and storytelling with strong project management skills for complex, cross-functionals projects across all levels within an organization
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple high-profile and high-impact projects with high-degree of autonomy
Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Health, or other related fields
Background in strategy consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy/M&A experience (direct healthcare experience is preferred but not required)
Direct healthcare and/or technology experience
Proven leadership experience with a strong executive presence
Ability to work independently, on a team, and with remote teammates
Proven experience delivering against complex, cross-functional initiatives
MPH or Master's degree in a related field
Bachelors degree in a related field is required.
