Associate Marketing Director - Wayfair Canada

Since our launch in early 2016, Wayfair.ca has quickly grown into the leading online destination for all things home in the Canadian market. The Canada Marketing team owns the end-to-end growth agenda across major channels, including TV, social media, search, direct mail, and email with the goal of efficiently building brand affinity and capturing market share. We work closely with our partners on the Wayfair Canada team (e.g. Pricing, Site Experience, Merchandising, Operations) and the broader Marketing team as well as Data Science and our in-house Ad Tech team.

What You'll Do

  • Create, iterate, and gain alignment on the marketing strategy for Wayfair's largest geography outside the United States
  • Relentlessly drive profitable growth through a combination of innovation and tight execution
  • Lead a matrix 15+ person marketing team, with 1 direct report, to ensure the collective effort manifests in strong results for the Canada business
  • Maintain industry expertise and synthesize opportunities from market trends
  • Partner closely with cross- functional partners to achieve growth aspirations and help shape the broader marketing agenda
  • Interact with C-suite executives during the quarterly planning process, including Wayfair's co-founders

What You'll Need

  • 10+ years experience in digital marketing, consulting, and/or corporate strategy
  • 3+ years management experience with a consistent track record of leadership and taking ownership that leads to high-impact results with the ability to prioritize projects and delegate tasks appropriately
  • Proven record of high performance/achievement and driving impact; able to pivot quickly and deliver against targets & goals in a fast and rapidly evolving environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels, including C-suite; exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills that can be tailored to internal partners
  • Track record of success in developing relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, building trust, and working collaboratively to drive multi-departmental projects
  • Strong problem solving skills and comfort getting deep into the data; experience building a strategy and story supported by data-driven insights
  • E-commerce or digital marketing experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of the Canadian market and/or the ability to speak French a huge plus
